Imrhrane (Near Bou Tharar)
Located in Imrhrane, surrounded by mountains and rose gardens , Maison Hotes Hayat has a garden. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a terrace. Free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk are... Time of the visit: 1-14.09.2019 Unique emplacement in a small, traditional village Ait Said, isolated from the main road, settled just on the bank of M'Goun river, called the Rose Valley; about 15 m above the riverbed & 50 m from the mainstream. The Maison Hayat is about 250 years old, entirely renewed casbah, with luxuriant, evergreen gardens beginning immediately outside the door. On the opposite bank, rigtly facing the Maison Hayat, is a dramatic, quasi-vertical, magnificent orange rock rising some 200 m above the riverbed. Further, the Roses Valley unfolds, carving its way through the plateau, with still more green gardens and vue of 3 nearest old kasbahs' villages of Hadida, Touzrigte with a stork nest and Tourbist. One remarquable advantage of the Maison Hayat location is that all these villages are small and in perfect harmony with the nature (in net opposition to other valley' s portions, more large and flat, where some villages may give the overhelming feeling of being overcrowded). For all these reasons, in my opinion the Maison Hayat is offering one of a few best scenic vievs, beginning from El Kalaat M'Gouna, through Bou-Thrarar and up to Dades & Todra gorges. This is the best choice for wilderness, nature and calm lovers. Surrounding gardens are open for exploration, along a labyrynth of small paths between miniature fields, showing different crops (depending of the season). At the beginning ot September, there are mainly ripening: corn, lucerne / alfalfa, white peaches (differing from the yellow-fleshed & slightly acidic variety better known in Europe, by more sweet taste & white flesh, but still belonging to the same species of Prunus persica), walnuts, figues (attention ! laxative !), grapes, pomegrenates, tomatoes, aubergines, peppers... And for later harvest: olives and dates. All mornings, birds are singing (yes ! in September !) and firsts storks are coming back from Europe.

This Kasbah-style property is located in Roses Valley within a 5-minute drive from Kelaat Mgouna. The accommodation is perfect! Really nice and tastefully decorates. Situated next to river and it’s really nice to sit outside on patio to relax. The rooms are nice and cosy. Staff are really friendly and helpful. We had half board as part of the booking and it’s really good value and dinner was delicious. Perfect for our pit stop for one night. Could have stayed for an extra night if we didn’t have time constraints.
