We were lucky to have booked Riad Sultan for our 2-night stay in Chefchaouen. It’s a new riad just opened in April 2026. Everything was new, clean and spotless. The towels and bedding were so soft and clean. There’s TV in each room. The breakfast was generous and delicious too. The manager Nizar texted me after I have booked the riad and gave me advice on where to stop and provided help in carrying our luggages to the riad. There is one minute walk with stairs from the car drop off point to the riad, we were very thankful to have their help.

It was our 30th anniversary, and we came here to create a beautiful new memory for our journey together. We were so happy that we made the perfect decision by choosing this destination. We booked Haven Hills Chaouen, and from the moment we entered, we felt such lovely vibes. Mr. Shafique warmly greeted us, and one of his staff members escorted us to our room. We were truly impressed by how beautifully every single detail had been arranged. Wherever you looked, the interiors were elegant and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was spotless, and the breakfast was delicious and hygienic. Words are not enough to describe the breathtaking view from this place. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back again with our kids and highly recommend this place to our friends and family. Whenever you visit Chefchaouen, Morocco, Haven Hills Chaouen is a wonderful place to stay.

City view selling point. Amazing view from the terrace, the hotel is comfy and right on the edge of the medina, so no noises in the middle of the night. My bed was just enough for me, I didn't have breakfast due to early checkout. Thank you for everything, guys.

Overall Chefchaouen is good to see in 1-2 days MAX. you are not there for the food, so dont expect the best of the best. You are there to see the culture and the city and then I would suggest moving onto the next stop on your trip. I 100% reccomend going however it isnt a spot to spend the whole trip

It was surprisingly a nice stay.

It was surprisingly a nice stay. Just wish we knew more places and things to do around there. We went to the waterfalls and the Spanish mosque. My youngest two were 11 and 13 so they could take part in everything we did easily.

We absolutely loved the town!

We absolutely loved the town! The Medina is incredibly cozy and has a mystical vibe—it truly feels like stepping into a fairy tale. Navigating the narrow streets of the Medina was very easy with the Maps.me app, which kept us from getting lost. Watching the sunset from the Spanish Mosque was an absolutely unreal experience. At first, we really doubted whether it was worth walking so far in the heat, but the views both along the way and from the top of the hill made it all completely worth it. It is an absolute must-do! A quick tip regarding taxis: We flew into Tetouan and took a taxi directly from the airport to the Chefchaouen Medina. It cost us 400 Dirhams for the whole car (for 4 people). Before our trip, we had asked our hotel about their transfer service, and their quoted price was 1300 Dirhams! Interestingly, on our way back from Chefchaouen to Tetouan (this time heading to the Tetouan Medina instead of the airport), we paid only 210 Dirhams for the taxi.

I know Chefchaouen is a beautiful place, with human nice people. IN CITIES LIKE THAT, IT IS NEEDED A PUBLIC INVESTMENT OF CHECKING HEALTH OF STRUCTURES: SERVICES (KITCHEN, BATHROOMS...), AND ASK CLIENTS IN HOTELS AND RESIDENCES THE HAPPINESS THEY HAVE IN THE STAYS

A truly beautiful and unique place.

A truly beautiful and unique place. Business owners are friendly and welcoming, we never felt harassed. We felt safe at all times including at night, families and children are out all the time. Chefchaouen is not a big place, it’s easy to explore. The little streets can be confusing at first but part of the experience is to wander, a beautiful photo is around every corner. We spent a delightful evening at restaurant Sindibad eating delicious desserts, watching the World Cup on the terrace as the sun set, accompanied by beautiful, hypnotic live music, a truly memorable experience.

After having spent 8 weeks exploring Morocco, Chefchaouen was our favourite city. Beautiful, not too touristed, and a great combination of architecture, history, ambiance and nature (the river and mountains), and just the right size so you didn't feel overwhelmed. Good signage for tourists.

As the second to last stay on our Morocco round trip, the Hotel Ouarzazate is queueing itself into its predecessors of accomodations in which we stayed in and had a wonderful recreation time - a marvellous building amidst the busy medina of Chefchaouen, where one can enjoy the silentness of former times. We had a highly cozy little chamber and regarding the bathrooms there was also nothing bad to say. Thank you for this amazing night here!
