I visited Tetouan at the time of Ramadan, which added a new dimension to the whole experience. The medina is of a fair size, possible to walk through it using the markings. The people were also friendly and willing to help if asked for directions.
The Archeological Museum has a nice collection of mosaics from the Roman time.
The bus terminal is a short walk from the medina, but I found that not all the buses listed were actually running. Out of 3 buses in direction Tangier (8:00, 8:15 and 8:30) there was only one bus on the morning of my departure (at 8:45 🙂 ! )

A prosperous town with lots of people living their lives out on the streets. The Medina is not as pretty as the Fes Medina but felt more relevant to the daily needs of Moroccans and much less crowded. Delicious and inexpensive pastries available everywhere!

Tetouan is one of (if not the most) beautiful city in Morocco. The people there were amongst the friendliest I have encountered in Morocco in the two trips that I have been there. Many foreigners go to stay at the nearby beach properties, and miss out on the jewel that is Tetouan.

It's a strange city.
It's a strange city. We stayed in it for four days and it seemed very long to me.
Very interesting old medina, but 2 days to see the city is enough.
I found there was almost no place to eat in the city - we had to go to Martil for a fish restaurant.

The place is very amazing and i wish i had more days to stay here. I got a chance to visit another city an hour away called Chefchouane (The Blue City) its another small city not far from Tetouan and i will definately recommend a visit there, its has amazing falls and friendly markets and. All in all Tetouan has alot to offer and if you ever get a chance to spend time in the city centre of Tetouan please i will advice to go to a small coffe shop called AMAZING COFFEE, they make coffee to die for and the staff and owner are just very friendly and great people. Generally i will sum up by saying i will be back here cos its a really good place.

Excellent value for money for food. people very friendly but be prepared to contend with a lot of people insisting on offering to bring you on tours of Medina etc, this was the only annoying thing I found on the trip but very hard to avoid. Very cheap restaurant called "La Union" in Teteoun, taxi service is excellent and cheap.
Tetouan House is the BEST choice for anyone visiting Tetouan, Morocco! Location is central, there’s quite frankly no way you wouldn’t enjoy staying over here. This was definitely my best booking.com experience, very cultural, friendly, and unique. Tetouan House is nothing but welcoming, generous, and warm. I wish everyone would have the chance to experience their hospitality! After my visit, I decided I would return for sure, and Tetouan House is one of the main reasons! Lots of things to do around the area for any type of tourist.
Unbeatable location, right in the town's centre, so easy to find which is a rarely the case in Morocco. Lovely owner, she's kind and welcoming, a pleasure to meet her. Super clean and tidy, spacious and bright room, breezy, balcony, spotless bathroom, excellent bed. Best value for money in Tetouan, would definitely stay again.
Mr. Lutfy and Naima are the best hosts and best people in Morocco. The Riad itself is lovely and calm and so peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed the best time here and actually extended my stay as it was so enjoyable ☺️. I would highly recommend this Riad 💕
Nicely decorated, tasteful house in a quiet area. The suites are very spacious and clean, the bathrooms new and luxurious with abundant towels and even bathrobes. Beds are the comfiest we've found in Morocco. The owners are very friendly and sweet.
