Who is interested in culture, nature and history should go to Cetinje. All the saga of Montenegro, its conversation between nature and people, time and space, change and continuity is synthetised here. Everything in few feet. Do not expect Paris, Athens or Rome, also, do not underrate it because of its scale. It has more layers than you could imagine. Just be patient and respectful and you will find its ghosts.
I like museums and lipa cave. Guides at all those places surprised me with their humor and motivation for work. We have joined some larger group and guides really added a level of experience to the whole visit.
Small and hospitable town, tiny town center with beautiful museums. Many interesting bildings along old streets. Beautiful nature and views. There is a Lovcen peak near the town. So, I think, everyone should visit this town, but i don't think you shell spend much time there. It was a little bit difficult to find a good place to eat (but we managed!)..
Cetinje is a really nice place, but there is not a lot going on there. The town center is pretty much all there is to do. I went to two of the museums and visited a couple of the churches, and I pretty much finished it off with that. I wouldn’t tell someone not to go, but a day is plenty. I went there because it was the old capital of Montenegro. I also went there because it was a good stopping off place as I traveled from Kolašin back to Dubrovnik.
Cetinje is the ancient capital of Montenegro. It's much more interesting than Podgorica. It's a very small town with perhaps 20,000 inhabitants, but it has a lot of good restaurants. There's not a lot of partying going on here, but it's a great place if you like small towns. People are polite but not totally outgoing. The air is fresh and in October it's been a bit chilly and raining almost every day. The surroundings are beautiful. Everything is in walking distance. It's got a great National History Museum. A very chill town!
Cetinje, the old Royal Capital, is charming. It has barely changed in the centre since I last visited 50 years ago, except that it now has a whole lot more cafés and restaurants serving delicious local food. It's green and peaceful..a world away from the busy touristy places on the coast of Montenegro. Well worth a visit.
Cetinje
This apartment was great. We came by bus and is about 10 mins walk from the bus station. It is centrally located for visiting the historic buildings of Cetinje. Also really close to bars, restaurants and shops. The modern apartment had everything we needed. Vasili the host was excellent, really helpful and we got to sample cheese and meat from his family's farm. The room in the pictures on booking.com was the room we got. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
Cetinje
The host provided many items that made the stay very pleasant, for example laundry detergent for the washing machine, sugar and salt in the kitchenette. The apartment was nicely decorated and well equipped. The location was a 10 minute walk to the pedestrian street that is the center of Cetinje. I certainly recommend the apartment, especially for longer stays. A thank you to the host and her phone colleague for their welcoming attitude.

It’s a comfortable, tastefully furnished apartment well located in the heart of Cetinje but in a quiet area. Good restaurant “kola” and bakery nearby. I was travelling by bicycle so particularly useful that there is a garage where I could keep my bike.

Thoughtful decorations with interesting old furniture & amenities; wonderful location that puts you in between the Cetinje bus station and tourist attractions; good value for money; well stocked kitchen.
Great stay. Hotel and location and beautiful. The buffet breakfast has lots of variety of local foods. The restaurant also has a great menu and all of the staff are excellent and very friendly.
Great modern, clean hotel that I used as a base to explore inland Montenegro. Also importantly great air con. A bargain at only €30 in the middle of July.
