Czech RepublicIf I could, I would give a 20/10! First of all, the price is great for what you get and the room was super clean. But what I appreciated the most is the host - super welcoming but also extremely helpful. In Ohrid there is no public transport going to the airport, so you need to get a taxi. However, my flight was on Easter sunday when most people don't work. The host still managed to arrange a taxi for me at 5 in the morning. If you need to fly from Ohrid and are afraid about how to get to the airport, this is the right place for you!

BUT tastelessly overdeveloped, very crowded and extremely expensive for what it offers.
A few hours stop to visit a few places and go sleep somewhere else.

Ohrid was just such a pretty place.
Ohrid was just such a pretty place. The lake is stunning, so clean, you can see right through the water. The main area was nice too with lots of lovely stalls & shops, also some live music when I was there. Very easy to get around.
My 2 day stay just wasn’t enough. I could do a week next time

The Old town is very interesting.
The Old town is very interesting. It has many beautiful medieval churches and a gorgeous fortress abowe the town. The beaches on the Ohrid lake are very small, but very nice. The food on the streets and in the reatauranta was very good or excellent. The people are very open and welcoming.
On other side, the new part of Ohrid was a great dissapointment. It was very dirty, with trash all over the streets, neglected courtyards, ruined old houses and crumbling industrial buildings from communist era. Newer saw such ugly place.

There are no proper signs at the bus station about exit and ticket office or they are wrong / misleading, the taxi drivers often overcharge and there is little food for vegetarians and vegans, especially cheap food.

No matter how many days you spend in Ohrid, it is never...
No matter how many days you spend in Ohrid, it is never enough; it is an incredible place that words cannot fully describe. You can truly feel a special energy here. The local people are a story of their own, they have preserved a soulfulness that Europeans lost long ago, making you feel as though you are returning to a time when people genuinely helped and valued one another. It is simply a holy place. There is no single, specific reason for this; it is just the entire experience of Ohrid; it is unique. When it comes to entertainment, you are never bored; there is so much to see and experience that even a month-long stay would feel too short. Ohrid is truly special.

The apartment is ideally located for the Old Town of Ohrid. Close to the Lake and all the shops, bars and restaurants without the noise of it all.
We were greeted on arrival and shown to our apartment only having to wait a few moments for them to finish cleaning. We paid cash on arrival which is very useful. They accepted either Denar or Euros so that is convenient for travellers first time in North Macedonia.
The facilities were all you could ask for a few days stay.

This property is a GEM! In the heart of Old Town with stunning views of Lake Ohrid. Brand new, fresh and spotlessly clean. We booked 3 separate rooms for our family and loved the “at home” feel from this boutique Aparthotel. Well lit at night , parking available and quiet location and Walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the spa and sauna facilities each day. You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice hotel with big garden and pool, also inside pool and spa area. Breakfast was good, good parking space right at the hotel. Very friendly stuff, we even stayed one day longer then initially planned.
We also liked the snacks at the pool bar, very nice spot
