Old Bazaar: Old city center with a Ottoman era. Lots of shops for souvenirs and antiques. Good restaurants and bars. And old mosques and han's. Bit Pazar: A bazaar selling litterly everything (Fruitmarket and a souvenirmarket) Skopje Fortess: The inside is not maintained good. But you get good views. Macedonia Square: In evening good lighting and sometimes events. Millennium Cross: Great view overlooking the city. Old Town Brewery: Good bar with lots of drinks and good food. Old City House: Probaly the best food Rakia Bar: Lots of types of Rakia and live music.

Local restaurants with really good food, but you should know the right ones. Wellcoming people and positive in general in spite of everyday reality. The architecture and redesign of the city centre of the last two decades is awfully pretentious and fake, indigestible. Unthinkable mass of monuments of no art value at all. At the same time you may break the leg on public pavement. And imagine, all that in spite of a really good and modern reconstruction after the earthquake in 60-ties. On the other hand, you may find interesting art exhibitions at Contemporary Art Museum and galleries within Old Bazaar. Do not miss Matka Canyon.

Skopje is quite polluted, but you will enjoy passing its many bridges and visiting its museums. I recommend the Archeological Museum and the History and Art Bridge. The Stone Bridge is the oldest bridge and also a must see at night. I was a bit disappointed in the market as they only sell chinese crap and it is difficult to find any local souvenirs at the market. If you are here longer take the bus to the Matka gorge or to Katlanovo Thermal baths. I wish I could visit the local philharmonics, but during my stay there were not concerts.

Very easy, walkable city. There's a good choice of little restaurants with very affordable and tasty food. The Old Bazaar was fun to walk around for a day. We also visited the Archaeological museum. I would say Skopje is good for a one day city trip, because you can really see everything in one day. We planned to go to Makta Canyon and the Millennium Cross on our second day, but unfortunately got rained out. It was also a Sunday, so most things were closed, and we were actually very bored in the city, since we had seen everything the day before. I definitely wouldn't plan more than two days in Skopje, with one of those being to visit the nature nearby.

People don't like the statues, but I got to love most of them. It was a very organized city, with spacious roads, plenty of bridges and things to see. People were very friendly. And the Zoo, it was amazing for such a small country in Balkan. Definitely a place to go again.

This is a rather small, boutique-style hotel in the very center of Skopje. The room was large and clean with basic amenities, including a decent bathroom. Breakfast was ok (but nothing special). I noted that earlier reviewers had complained about the coffee but this issue seemed to have been addressed. There is now a coffee machine that offers a selection of coffees (cappuccino, espresso, etc). The gym in the basement was above expectations - seemed very new and well-equipped considering what hotels of this size tend to have.

Hotel Premium is located in the best part of Skopje, the Old Bazaar district. The hotel is brand new, stylish, and super clean. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and well sound-proofed. We were so happy with the breakfast buffet which was extensive and served on the top-floor restaurant with beautiful views of Skopje. Everything 10/10.
