Offering a rooftop pool, a spa, and 3 restaurants, Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa is set in the hillside village of Mellieha, 0.6 mi from Malta’s largest beach. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast buffet was great. Restaurants and public transportation very close by. Balcony gave us a great view of the city & a bit of the harbor. Highly recommend this property.
Boasting a private beach area, Mellieha Bay Hotel is set in Mellieħa, 1.2 mi from Popeye Village. what else do you need more great staff great food great parking and most of all great view.
Built on the sides of one of the valleys in Mellieha, the hotel offers exquisite views of the church, the bay, the islands of Gozo and Comino, and the village. Friendly stuff, nice room, super big balcony
Solana Hotel offers modern rooms and studios with free Wi-Fi access, a 10-minute walk from the beach on Mellieha Bay. The rooftop terrace with pool is a real highlight. We booked a junior suite and the room was very spacious.
Featuring 3 outdoor pools, and spacious, sunbathing terraces, Paradise Bay Hotel overlooks Paradise Bay on one side and the islands of Gozo and Comino on the other. Nice hotel. Perfect for what we wanted. The main hotel and facilities are nice, rooms look like they are starting to be updated but they are big, clean and comfortable and we didn’t spend much time in there as there was so much to go and do and see.
On the most northern tip of Malta, the Ramla Bay Resort overlooks the islands of Comino and Gozo. The property offers a private beach, lush gardens, 3 outdoor pools and 2 indoor pools. We were at the new building in the hotel, our room was huge and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The beach next to the hotel is also really good and they offer a lots of programs. The spa also really good, they have 1 pool inside, a sauna and a steam room as well.

It served solely as a place to spend the night. The city itself is not that spectacular but the ferry to Gozo is not far and the hotel Maritime Antonine Spa is very nice (probably the best one you can get in terms of quality/price).
Food in the restaurants was average prices we ok the beach was ok but got very busy at weekend and its not very big.People very friendly.Driving was like being in the wacky races but good fun.All the water sports you could need and they have an inflatable water pack just off the beach. The beach area was easy to get around butb the surrounding area is quite hilly and a bit of a challenge. For those stayng in self catering accommodation thier are a couple of good supermarkets with most of what you need.
This is about my tenth trip to Mellieha, as before I dived with Go Dive Malta who as always were brilliant. Mellieha is safe with a good range of bars and restaurants. Magaluf it isn’t, which is a good thing. As well as diving we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Tosca, spa treatments in the Maritim and cheap drinks whilst watching the Rugby in Billy’s Bar. Mellieha is half an hour from the airport, we used Drifter for our transfers. It is an hour but only €1.50 each way on the bus to Valletta.
Great beach - long and shallow (seemed like a heat trap with the sandbank dither out) - able to swim in sea end of May. Town itself on a lovely spot on hill (but can make it a bit of a challenge). Plent y of bus stops and restaurants, supermarket. But not too much to see from a tourist pint of view. Recommended depending on whether you like to go beach or not (use as a base). Went out for day and came back in afternoon for beach.
The grey sand is not as nice as the photos make out, the water is crystal clear though, but can be a bit less so near the shore. The area seems pretty run down or poorly developed like a lot of Malta outside the old towns and cities. I did have a spectacularly good simple meal at South end of Mellieha beach, first restaurant on the waters edge.
If you have young kids or teens, you may want to stay more near Sliema, or the boardwalk. There is not much in Mellieha. We liked the beach and it was quiet for us. Favorite restaurant was Mexican cafe near the beach and Al Ponte, near hotel. Within walking distance to Popeye Village

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and were able to answer all of my questions and help with booking a taxi etc. I stayed in a studio room which was surprisingly spacious and had a kitchenette which is small but good enough if you wanted to make some breakfast in the morning. The pool is very nice and has great views across Malta! There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which was good especially as I arrived using a public bus. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

Mario, the landlord is a great guy. He was very helpfull with everything. The apartment is nice and quite a more than a reasonable size. Very well partitioned as well. Had everything we needed. Location is 10 min away, by car, from all the nices beaches in Malta. No reason to add photos as the booking.com pictures are showing the reality.

Stunning view from room 451 top floor. Quiet and peaceful overlooking the bay . The corridors reminded me of the Overlook hotel ( Steven King film ) Clean and spacious room.

The location is good, close to the beach (sandy beach) ... because there, in Malta, are many stone beaches that you can not sit comfortably

We arrived late and it was easy to check in. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed being away from the built up areas and had a rental car so we could drive to sightsee and then come home. The pool is fantastic, as well as the restaurant.
