Samann Grand is located in Malé, a 9-minute walk from National Museum and half a mile from Republic Square. The property is close to Henveiru Park, National Football Stadium and Sultan Park. Everything else was great! Fantastic service by very friendly and knowledgeable Staff. Room size was small but manageable (all hotels in Male have small room sizes). View from the room is good. There are two Mosques close by (one right opposite), but there was no disturbance with the prayers. It is actually very calming to hear the prayers. Location is just perfect!

It’s really nice better then any other place.the resort we stayed was owsome and the crew also specially my housekeeper((shakilb) .he is so much friendly and I will come back again and stay in the same room if he stays till then..
Busy and congested . Interesting to walk around and stay for 1-2 nights to explore before or after going to Islands . Much cheaper food avd stay . Resorts are super expensive and night life is almost none in Islands unless you book Hard rock there . Maldives have local speed boats abd ferries to explore some local islands - cheap option to explore .
We checked in on Thursday evening and checked out Saturday morning. This span was enough to walk around and see places. We were able to walk around late in the night without any problems. They have many high-end stores. There is a good fruit market and a nice park. The artificial beach was there for the locals to cool off. We enjoyed eating at the Bamboo restaurant, Tholum restaurant and enjoyed the coffee at Lavista and icecream at Movenpik!
the city is very expensive , the rooms are very small and the lcal stuffs are quite expensive , mostly because all the things are imported from INDIA,Srilanka, turkey,Malaysia, singapore, china etc. better to get your own stuffs from your home country,
I went there to attend a TradeShow at Dharubaaruge. It was horrible roadworks leading there, especially when it was raining daily, the roads are pretty much flooded. There is not much to see or do in Male, as this is not a beautiful resort island.
We decided to stay one day in Male to know the city before coming back home but it was not a great idea. We really enjoyed the Thai restaurants that we got to experienced, but the city it is a little crowded with bikes and people. It is really difficult to walk with all the small streets and bikes. As a women, I didn't feel quite comfortable. There was not so much to do unless you go to some resorts, but we came from one. We regretted not staying one more day in the previous resort outside the mainland.
Malé
Nice rooms with everything needed. There was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, which was excellent for us, since we very much like coffee (however we had to pay 20 rufias for capsules). The breakfast (5 dollars per person) was ok. The room was clean, staff is kind and very helpful. Hotel is situated 10 min away from the harbour, which makes the transfer with public ferry from the Airport very cheap (1 USD for the ferry).
The staff was excellent in arranging our PCR test and transit for our very early morning flight out. The location is good if you are interested in getting to or from the airport quickly and without a boat ride, which was the main reason we stayed as this was an unexpected stop on our trip. The breakfast buffet was adequate with plenty of options, and the hotel restaurant has good food at it's price.
Lady at the desk was so kind, she tried to make my booking cheaper as I said I was only staying for 3/4 hours. I managed to convince her I want to pay full price, it was already cheap! Location perfect, close to the airport, short $10 cab ride away. The staff were helpful in giving directions, and loading suitcases. Warm and friendly people of the actual Maldives, lovely to see.
For a 4 star hotel it was very good value for the money. Staff were very precise and on time in getting us out of the airport and then back in the morning for our seaplane trip. They coordinated well with the resort abd had everything under control. The rooms are small, but good enough for a one night lay over in Male on our way to our resort island.
Malé
It's a quiet home in the center of a busy and noisy town. Found serenity here after 10 days of liveaboard trip. The hotel is clean and classy with an amazing Thai restaurant. Room is cozy and shower is great! Loved everything during our short stay!
