This Acapulco mountain-side resort overlooks Puerto Marques Bay. It offers beach access, 3 outdoor pools with sea views, a full service spa and rooms with private balconies. We've been going to same hotel for 7 times, and love it more every time. The staff is great but the waitress in the breakfast restaurant are stars, Ricardo, Juan Jose and Humberto. It feels like visiting family right now. We were actually worried about them during the pandemic and were glad to see them again, and hearing that their families are ok as well. Camino Real has built a great team and leaves the bar very high up. Congrats!

Acapulco is not what it used to be. The beaches are overcrowded and dirty, the city itself is hectic and dangerous. But Acapulco is still Acapulco. The bay and the views are spectacular and if you know where to go you'll have an amazing experience. I do not recommend staying in La Costera. The main beaches are so overcrowded and a real mess. Stay in the surrounding hills. Las Brisas is still spectacular, as are other boutique hotels nearby. El Princess and La Piramide are spectacular hotels but they too have suffered from overcrowding and declining services and the beach is not what it used to be...so overcrowded and disgusting, we almost stepped in feces a few times and were almost run over by people driving recklessly on the beach. The beaches toward the airport are a bit better, less crowded. If you havent been to Acapulco you have to go. But choose hotels away from the downtown and Costera and find secluded beaches or clubs if you can.
Acapulco has sadly been very neglected. It felt like a poor location and not the vibrant resort of previous years. The beaches are nice but are extremely overcrowded in parts with lots of rubbish. If you can see past this & accept it you will have a nice time. I would not pick Acapulco for my main 2 week holiday. We are traveling so we can compare with other parts of Mexico, that I would chose over Acapulco.
I stayed in Las Brisas and it had the most awesome view I have even experienced, definitely suggesting to stay there if this is Your thing. Overall traffic was easier than in Mexico City and apart from some massive potholes, the roads were quite good. Possibilities to eat and shop were all there and easily accessible. The reason for an unhappy face was on last day when leaving Acapulco. We were stopped by police at an intersection (picked out among local drivers) and Police started talking that he saw, we drove through 3 red lights (must have had eagle eyes since it was one of the major highways through the city and clearly it was impossible to see more than the one interection we crossed with green light) and he is going to fine us 3x4700 pesos and if we do not have money then ATM is nearby in Soriana. That was massive bull*hit and was straight from the Youtube videos, taking the documents and talking that we can pay tomorrow at police station or we can pay him straight away on the street because he wants to help us get on the plane. We had a plane to catch so my wife and children cried and the bribe went down but still it was an awful experience and just for that I would suggest people to avoid the city at all. We were in Mexico for 3 weeks, 2 weeks in Mexico city and Guernavaca area and 1 week in Acapulco. No problems at all in Mexico City and Guernavaca.
The garbage all over is sickening. The street sewers were continually backing up and flowing down the street. Get off the main drag and the filth and garbage are sickening. How do the locals live like pigs?
The beaches are ok and the water is perfect temperature but the water is ruff with small but strong waves and a strong undercurrent. I am 5feet 8in and a solid 200lbs and the undertow knock me over several times after fighting the water for about 15 minutes i was done, exhausted lol.so if you want to spend your time in the ocean beach be careful and i hope you are a great swimmer. The hotel is located in a great spot you can walk to some restirants and the food is good. Have a great trip
I think acapulco gets a bad rap .I've been coming here for years it is a very safe City there is security everywhere you could walk around or take a city bus cheap anywhere .the value for your money is excellent the beaches are beautiful and just about every single Hotel you stay at is also beautiful with great pools. You could go to Acapulco for a month for the price you pay for a week or less to go somewhere else that wouldn't be as nice. Not to mention the food it's all fresh fruits vegetable and fish. I travel a lot but return to Acapulco every year. Nowhere has matched up
We were very lucky to get an apartment (suite) for a regular price. Thus, we had a wonderful sea/city view (on both, as it was a corner apartment). It was big (2 rooms with a kitchen). Actually the room was the only good thing in this hotel taking into consideration that we paid "all-inclusive" option and then we needed to pay additionally for everything (beds on a beach, cocktails etc., because "they were in included in the all-inclusive option".
Acapulco
Clean, modern and stylish rooms. Cool coloured mood lights in bedroom and bathroom, controlled on the nightstand. Plenty of plugs for your phone. Room service menu available. Very large (and for Mexico gigante) 50" LED interactive TV with bluetooth and WiFi connect to smartphone. Quiet neighborhood, excellent location near beaches, OXXO, street tacos nearby at night.
Stunning location with views of the ocean and bay. Beautiful air conditioned villas with private pools. Villas are well located to provide privacy. Friendly staff. Beautiful birds, small mammals and butterflies. Only a short drive to the nearest restaurants and shopping mall. Within driving distance from Mexico City, only a 4 to 5 hour drive.
Awesome place to spend vacations at Acapulco, the price is totally worthy, near facilities, sea is crossing the street, clean pool, silent place, the terrace is super nice, amazing. Carmen is super attentive and interested in you. Just keep in mind the Cleaning fee of 300 MXN I'll definitely will come back.
nice beach, nice pools (2 pools for adults only, 1 for everybody), nice garden. All rooms with balcón looking to the sea. 3 restaurants on site. Good breakfast and dinner buffet. Hotel is in the very center of Acapulco, allowing walk to shops and restaurants outside hotel. Staff friendly, cleaning efficient.
Building well located with great view for Acapulco. There is a guard on the gate so we felt safe. Apartament was big, clean and comfortable. Good wifi, great terrace and well working air condition. The common area is good. Nice swimmingpool with amazing view.
The location is legendary. The setting, the rooms, the pool, the views, the beach club it’s amazing, there are no hotels left with this price/benefit, period.
The breakfast are good, the pool is clean but they close it early and the sea, you can cross from the beach to the hotel facilities easily
The breakfast was excellent.. the location was right on the beach.. the staff was awesome ..in all my husband and I had a fantastic time
I liked the location which has an amazing view of Acapulco bay. I also liked the food quality and that it has a private beach.
