We received such a warm welcome from our lovely kind Italian hosts Gianni and Carla at Casa Curtos. The accommodation is the sweetest little stone house set in their beautiful walled garden, full of succulent plants and cacti. The little house has a lovely comfy bed, hot shower and we were served a delicious breakfast on our little garden terrace. This included delicious bread and jam made by Gianni's own fair hands. They also organised our riding trip to the top of El Quemado mountain for us. Easy parking at the hotel across the street for a small fee. Highly recommend staying here!

Because I was in Real de Catorce over 20 years ago, I was in...

Because I was in Real de Catorce over 20 years ago, I was in awe about how much the town had changed and the changes they have made to attack tourists. Although my preference is less people, I do like prosperity and if this helps the town itself, then it is okay. You can still enjoy the simplicity, the rustic ambiance of the town and the view of the mountains. Walking around the entire town can be difficult, if you are not used to physical activity, as you go up and down streets, since this is a mountainous town. The meals are simple. These is not a place where you can find great steaks, but you have a choice of lots of typical Mexican food. The sweet bread is good.

What we liked most was the weather, the tranquility, and the...

What we liked most was the weather, the tranquility, and the food—whether at Mesón de la Abundancia, Doña Chila's restaurant, or La Providencia, it was all excellent. What we didn't like was an incident we had on horseback during a tour, where the horse threw my wife, and the guides found that the girth was too tight and was hurting the horse... very wrong of them.

It's a truly beautiful place, the atmosphere is so relaxing, you disconnect from everything else and focus on enjoying the moment, the landscapes are unreal, I highly recommend the horseback riding and the Jeep rides, the food isn't very varied but it's very good

Access to the town via a tunnel over 2 km long is perhaps unique in the world. The village has charm; it boasts good restaurants, and the tourist shops offer more than just cheap trinkets. This village is a must-see, both day and night!

It's a beautiful town, but information online is extremely scarce. Check with the hotel or guesthouse where you'll be staying for tips and information on activities, because there are many and they're not always available for immediate booking.

A place to explore, walk along cobbled streets, up and down hills, browse its shops, sample its cuisine, listen to music, sit somewhere watching the sunset, and sip good wine or coffee. Whether you travel on horseback or in a small boat, explore the town and its history.

Never had an experience like this. Staff is extraordinary, they do a warming arrival, room has everything you need and more. It has a small kitchen, with coffee, tee, cookies. Bed is very comfortable. The location is really close to the downtown and has a great view to the mountains and Phanton Town. When leaving the hotel, I fogot my gopro camera, and staff called me to let me know I left it in the bed, they offered to me to ship my camera with a carrier. They are very honest.
