The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. The attention of cleaning, dining and reception staff was exceptional

I liked that water was available for the rooms in a jug and not in plastic water bottles. I also liked that hot water, coffee and tea and cookies were available in the lobby. It was great to have private parking and a lot of air flow through the rooms with Windows and doors.

This was a great place to stay and we would highly recommend it. We spent one night here but would definitely return. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. It was beautifully decorated and we loved the animal themes. They provided everything we required including the normal essentials such as towels, toiletries but also water, coffee and pastries/biscuits. The location was great. It was easy to walk to the centre of the town and it was easy to find the hotel when we first arrived. Although we found a parking spot on the street outside the hotel, they also had a dedicated car park which is locked overnight. We went during December, when it was cold but the room was warm and they provided warm bedding. The receptionist staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't use the WiFi much but as far as I could tell it worked well.

First of all Tapalpa is a gem and well worth visiting. The hotel is right by the main square. You can park easily in the street outside. It was more or less empty when we visited on Day of the Dead. The room was a bit dilapidated (shower coming off wall etc) but comfortable king-sized bed. Wonderful big mediaeval type key! Young staff did their best. Once you find it, breakfast is made to order.

It's price for the location was extremely affordable. It's located a few steps from the plaza.

Its rustic charm and airy atmosphere. Good views from the upstairs terrace on the volcano and the sunsets.

This is a superb old mansion, full of beautiful antique furniture, but with all mod cons. and very comfortable, big beds. There was a log fire provided, which we did not use as the weather was mild. There were views of the mountains from one side of the house, and from the other, the streets of little whitewashed houses with their red-tiled roofs (Tapalpa is a "pueblo magico.") All the staff were kind and helpful. Parking in the street outside the hotel was easy. A delicious breakfast was provided, including fresh fruit, cheese, good bread and honey.

There's no breakfast at the hotel but they give you coffee and sweet bread

Reception staff were extremely helpful. Room was very clean. Nice terrazza and the room was nice and cool during the hottest of days.
