Casa Lu was outstanding accommodation...perfect location, luxurious, beautiful pool, right at the edge of the beach and a very short walk to the local town centre. All of the staff were simply amazing, reception and outstanding room service. We could charge all food and beverages from the adjacent bar (excellent cuisine and cocktails) to our room and pay in full on departure. Casa Lu was able to arrange fantastic massage therapists for us in the room/patio.

Casa Mazunte Tierra Viva was a place that was perfect for us. It is close to the beach but at the same time peaceful and quiet during the late evenings and night. The staff, all of them, and especially the hostess was incredibly kind, down to earth and helpful. We were able to prepare our own meals some of the days during our stay as we love to cook and this could be done both within our apartment/room as well as outside in a common kitchen/dining area. We felt very good at Casa Mazunte and there are plenty of sweet little family businesses nearby where you can have a delicious coffee, beer or a bite to eat. Loved it. Straight-forward sweet happy place close to everything else you might need: market, organic market on Sundays, good coffee places nearby, delicious fresh juices, smoothies everywhere around, happy small family business, beach 3 minutes away, gym nearby, everything....

OceanoMar is lovely oasis with an amazing view of the sea from the pool. You could spend the day at the pool/loungers. There is a ceiling fan in the room and windows had mosquito nets. The sound of the waves at night are very peaceful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There are reviews that it's hard to get to the hotel via 'very steep treacherous' steps. However, we did not find this to be the case. It is also a short walk to a beach and very close to the viewpoint.

Loved my stay here. The property is about a 10 or so minute walk into the main centre, it’s hilly & half on a dirt road. The pool, room and staff were lovely here. Nice place to relax while staying in Mazunte. I’d recommend & come back.

Cocolia is a magical place. I spent two nights here and returned for 3 more a week later. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind in nature. Isidro was an amazing host and could not do enough for us. We felt very welcome and will return one day. There is nothing quite like it

Mazunte is great for people who want a lot going on in a very small area. In the high season, it is full if tourists and activities for tourists. And if you are a hippie, you will probably like it. There is yoga, vegetarian food, community theater, and lots of music. The beaches are great. If I go again, I will probably stay in the next town over to have a quieter experience. But I liked it! Favorite restaurants in Mazunte- Doba, Sambodhi, and El Armadillo. They are all very clean and have vegetarian food.

Mazunte is a wonderful, laid-back friendly town.

Mazunte is a wonderful, laid-back friendly town. There are many restaurants with diverse cuisines and shops with beautiful and unique art, clothing and local goods. It is very much an old-hippie town with kind and welcoming vibes. Fun!!!

Mazunte is a beautiful quiet yet active and quaint village. Cute shops, restaurants, great ice cream (palma negra). Generally a wonderful vibe. The whole village can be walked easily and it's possible to walk to the next village/beach no problem.

We simply had bad luck that meant three rooms in three nights. That entailed a lot of wasted time. Not fair to say that the time of the stay was just right because Mazunte is much more than the two main streets, but we were just discovering that as we had to leave. But, then again maybe if many hours (about 10 in three days) had not been spent dealing with room changes I would feel different. It definitely has a vibe that can be enjoyable, we talked to a lot of great people.

We loved the King-sized bed, and nice pillows.

We loved the King-sized bed, and nice pillows. Many places do not have those. The stairs down to the veach was a long trek, so we drive to the beach. A newer made hand rail is essential to replace. And it seemed the photo of the swimming pool made it look longer, and it was ‘t. I loved the small refreshing pool. There were many nice features at the Posada, but we were disappointed in the stairs and lack of a hand rail. The price was the best!

Mazunte is the perfect combo of comfort and nature.

Mazunte is the perfect combo of comfort and nature. It’s very small but lively with shops and restaurants and the atmosphere remains quite and friendly. For even more tranquility I recommend spending the days on the beach at San Angustinillo, and heading back in town for dinner. Temazcal ceremonies at Kakao Kali are a must try if you’re on a healing journey. I was also happy to take a boat ride to see the dolphins and sea turtles.

The property does really deliver on the promise of being immersed in the nature of the Oaxaca coast. We woke up every morning to the sound of the waves crashing on the beaches below, and every day we saw pods of dolphins in the sea in front of us. The staff were accommodating and friendly, and took care of our every need. Food and drink prices a bit higher than what you would pay in town but still reasonable. The pool is also great - it's long enough that if you do sport swimming you can get some proper laps in.

YAM Hotel in Mazunte was perfectly located, very central, and the owner was incredibly friendly. She/ He was always available via WhatsApp and gave great tips for exploring Mazunte. The room was spacious, air-conditioned, and quiet. Everything was within walking distance, which was very convenient.

Wonderful views of the whole Mazunte bay, quiet and calm, an amazing infinity pool, direct beach access via a long stairway and not far from the sunset point, hammock in the room, nice staff and yummy food and free water fountain to refill bottles. All perfect!
