The hotel is in a great area with easy access and walking distance to the historic city. There are a number of restaurants and bars within walking distance in the opposite area too. We took an upgrade when we arrived as we needed space to work. We had a little casa and to our delight, it had a huge fireplace. Every evening a lovely man came and lit the fire for us which was just a wonderful thing. Bed was really comfortable. The hotel pool is lovely and they leave towels out to help yourself which is a bonus. It is a quiet hotel and we loved it. Value for money too. Breakfast had a good choice and the fruit was delicious. The scrambled eggs were interesting :) We would highly recommend this hotel, the grounds are lovely, infact everything is!

Casa de Siete Balcones Hotel Boutique, Nardazul "Casa de Sueños", and Las Mariposas Hotel & Studios got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Oaxaca City.
There are too many gems in Oaxaca to count here, and the tours are great for getting to see what is around like the ruins, worlds largest tree, Hierve la agua, Mitla, tasting incredible Mole etc etc. Recommend watching a few guide videos on Oaxaca, because there are also plenty of places who sell foods/experiences that might not be so great. Don't forget to explore the beautiful coast! The people are lovely.
Oaxaca City was much busier than on my last visit several years ago, really many more tourists. There are 2 basic day-long tour packages that are sold. They are worthwhile. The quality of the "artesanía" you see on the tours will vary, but the visit is still educational and interesting. There are people everywhere trying to sell you things or outright begging. When you're eating at an outdoor table you will be approached repeatedly.
The city is magical of course. Have visited it often and recommend highly. Frequent and inexpensive air travel from Mexico City and other locations makes it much more accessible than what used to be the case. Fantastic food (along with Puebla and Mexico City the finest in Mexico). Historic downtown in lively and welcoming. My only concern would be that it is a place to use much common sense in terms of going out into the early hours of the morning from a night of frolicking.
Food!!! that was our goal and it was wonderful. We loved visiting the markets, as many as we could visit. Some food at the markets was not that great (in our opinion) but they were wonderful to get ingredients and crafts, and some snacks. We preferred breakfast and dinner at restaurants and they were great.
Oaxaca City is absolutely impressive and clean. The natives are kind and friendly. The city is filled with stunning architecture, culture, and traditions. We visited areas around the city and experienced breathtaking moments. I fell in love with Oaxaca and was a bit nostalgic when we left.
Oaxaca City is very unique in that the center is small to walk around and see all of the major historical sights. Restaurants are plentiful with all sorts of extraordinary foods ranging in prices and types.
Stayed here for one night but I should've stayed longer. The hotel is very clean the staff was very attentive. The continental breakfast was great and just what I needed to get my day started. I will be back. My room faced the street but it wasn't loud at all since the balcony had double pane doors that open and close swell as quaint older wooden doors. At this point I had been traveling for three weeks and this hotel had the best shower. Plenty of room in the shower (it has benches!) and the hot waster was very welcoming.
The hotel and staff were great! You can tell how much they try to be the best they can be. I called in room service, Done. I called in a recommended driver DONE I asked for some coffee DONE. Of course I am a happy tipper. The room was very large clean neat and modern. The beds were comfy and so were the pillows. The exterior of the hotel is hidden and secluded but its so well located. We walked to everything. The breakfast upstairs on the roof was excellent.
I really enjoyed how close it was to some of the most renown places of Oaxaca City! The staff was excellent and always available to accommodate any and all needs. I also appreciated all the precautions taken during COVID season and felt extremely safe. Lastly, the hotel had a very traditional Oaxaca style look that contributed to the experience of its culture. I would definitely come back and stay here again! A great return for your money!
This was by far the best hotel of our 15 day trip to Mexico for our honeymoon. While we had our doubts arriving (due to the small fair outside), as soon as we entered the hotel we felt in a oasis of peace and good design. The staff is wonderful, particularly the ladies in charge of breakfast. The rooms as spacious and fresh, and the whole place is decorated with amazing taste. Would recommend to everyone going to Oaxaca!
Totally gorgeous hotel right in the middle of Oaxaca city. The view from the rooftop was stunning and completely memorable, and the courtyard was really beautiful and peaceful. Our bedroom was lovely with a huge bed and luxurious bathroom. The staff were wonderfully kind and helpful. The breakfast was equally great with a variety of teas, coffee and delicious local delicacies on offer. Highly recommend.
The hotel is located in the city centre. It has been the only place in Mexico (country) were spring water has been offered (all places only offer treated). As a boutique hotel, they also have quite a lot of furniture coming from Oaxaca's crafters and the place is beautifully decorated. The personnel is super nice and attentive and they are always looking after your comfort and satisfaction.
It was an artistic boutique hotel in the middle of everything. Short walks to all the happenings in the city. Amazing a la Carter breakfast everyday. The staff was polite and fluent in English. They helped set up excursions etc. The staff was available 24/7 via whats app too! Beautiful and clean rooms maintained everyday!
This was one of the best hotels me and my partner have stayed in! The beds were so comfortable, strong wifi, very clean, nice soap, friendly staff and an incredible breakfast is included. It's in the perfect location, walking distance from the centro and very quiet at night. We would absolutely stay here again!
Good place to stay in Oaxaca City. The hotel is located in the city center and within minutes you’ll reach the heart of everything. Especially the swimming pool and the accompanying beds were great to relax during a hot afternoon. Moreover, the guy at the reception has been very welcoming, kind and helpful to us!
The hotel is very close to the center, therefore it was very comfortable, this is the best part of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and active for our requests and questions. The provided free water in the corridor was very nice detail. The building and the patio is so beautiful.
The best part about the property is a location. It is very central and close to everything. The look of the property as exactly as described and expected. it is hard to find hotel with safe parking there and the fact that this hotel had it and it was free was awesome.
Rooms were spacious and in the best location to walk around town. The hotel has a beautiful interior. Breakfast was delicious. We booked a tour using the hotel's agency next door and it was the best day of the trip! Our taxi driver was fantastic and knowledgable.
This is a gorgeous boutique style hotel in a great location. We were able to walk everywhere. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was basic but fine. The staff were very helpful and there is a nice restaurant and pool area.
Beautiful hotel connected to the roots of Oaxaca but with a modern touch. The staff is sensational and kind, and will always go the extra mile to make your stay the best possible.
Lovely boutique hotel with a lot of details and careful design. Had breakfast included which was absolutely amazing. Pool - in love.
Amazing staff, really nice hotel and rooms. one of the best we stayed in Mexico. They were also really helpful with recommendations
I Liked hotel location, room view to Oaxaca city and price, good value.
