Everything. It’s new and the staff were all very attentive and helpful. We had a sea view which was fabulous. Our room was clean, the shower had plenty of hot water, the kitchen was great and we could make tea. The pool was lovely with its infinity view to the sea and we enjoyed a swim after being in the sea. We had plenty of charging sockets. The sunset while we ate our evening meal was magical.

The breakfast, although not included, was great. The coffee and fruit plates, in particular, were a perfect day starter. The bar was special and Julio was top notch. Josefina went above and beyond to be helpful. The staff, in general, was exceptional. Our poolside bungalow was quiet and pleasant.Loved our stay.

San Bas is a quiet relaxing town a short walk to the beach,...

San Bas is a quiet relaxing town a short walk to the beach, which is calm and never crowded. The food is fresh and good everywhere. The people are very friendly. Always felt safe. Wala Wala is our favorite restaurant. Others are Orfos, Pipalias Guiannis and la Isla.

A lovely small city with accessible art, cute square, great...

A lovely small city with accessible art, cute square, great seafood and friendly people. I did the boat trip into the La Tovara nature reserve, and it was fantastic! Try to go early in the morning. The ruins of a fort and church up the hill are nice to visit. Great views, take your binoculars, there are huge old trees, and lots of birds. I took a taxi up and walked down. Over all, I really enjoyed San Blas and hope to return for longer next year.

Friendly people, lots to see if you like small coastal...

Friendly people, lots to see if you like small coastal fishing villages. With two rivers, there are plenty of birds and wildlife to see. The village is pleasant to walk at night with local families enjoying the plaza.

Although not directly on a beach, San Blas has much to see.

Although not directly on a beach, San Blas has much to see. It is a peaceful town on a beautiful river. There was more to do in the area than we had time to visit. It's easy to walk anywhere in town, but a car is the best way to get to the outlying beaches and fishing villages. As a retired couple, we appreciated getting away from the artificiality of Sayulita and San Pancho.

We went for bird watching and photography.

We went for bird watching and photography. We had an excellent local guide Antonio Robles. We also did a boat tour up the mangrove river with Don Chencho who was an excellent and knowledgeable bird spotter. Beware that the afternoon (3:00-7:00) boat tour returns after dark when it is quite cool. Other than birding there is very little to see or do in San Blas. It looks like its better times are long past. Best restaurant is WalaWala, a nice Mexican place with good food and a great English speaking host.

The hotel and staff we're great. Make sure you stay in the new wing. About 15 min. from San Blas Beach club drinks and service was good but the sand fleas were terrible. Hard to be outside at sunset. Bring lots of bug spray and use it. Breakfasts were good but main food service ends at 6pm in the beach club. Hotel food service after that not great. Baos hotel is safe and comfortable.

Very helpful and friendly Staff who helped us organise a night tour in La Tovara (area of mangroves). Complimentary coffee available every morning. Close to main square. Nice restaurant is part of the hotel (closed on Tuesdays). Beautiful courtyard with relaxed seating areas full of exotic plants. Private car park - very secure.

What a nice place! Beautiful and clean, we were very comfortable in our room on the second floor and enjoyed the awesome pool with a good complimentary espresso. We were only in San Blas one night but I almost wanted to stay more just to enjoy this nice hotel. I highly recommend!
