With on-site botanical gardens and an outdoor pool, Sacbe Inn is located in Santa Elena Yucatan, a characteristic Mayan village. It is just 8.7 mi from Uxmal Archaeological Site and 4.3 mi from Kabah.... Wonderful place - fantastic location, cosy place to relax and enjoy your holidays. Isabel is a wonderful host, we just loved our stay here. Highly recommended! Delicious fresh fruit breakfast in a nicely decorated common area.
Set a 2-minute walk from the traditional village of Santa Elena, The Pickled Onion Eco-Boutique B&B features charming thatched bungalows, an outdoor pool and a restaurant. It is a great place with great people and very good restaurant on the site. Location is fantastic - many ruins, cenotes and haciendas to explore in the proximity. It is a very relaxing place. Definitely highly recommended!!!
Posada El Jardín is an eco-friendly property that offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, sun terraces by the outdoor pool, and a palapa that serves coffee for a fee. You will never find a better host than Ramón! He consistently surprised us with service and consideration that exceeded anyone’s expectations! He was so kind and patient, offering us amazing recommendations that sent our vacation to another level. He shared stories that opened the door to us connecting with his culture! The hotel is fantastic and beautiful! The garden is amazing! The water is hot! The AC & TV work great! The location is safe and secure. The town is lovely and friendly!
The Lodge at Uxmal is located within Uxmal Archaeological Park, just a few steps from the pyramids and temples. This is a lovely hotel located within walking distance of the ruins at Uxmal, which are magnificent. The hotel has beautiful lush gardens, lovely swimming pools and palm trees. Also with in walking distance of the Choco Museum. The dinner buffet was WONDERFUL. Literally one of the best buffets we've ever had - and it was mostly authentic Mayan dishes. Our concierge, Luis Felipe Chan Herrera, provided excellent service to us. If you can, ask for the Mayan breakfast at the little Mayan village they have reproduced near the hotel. It was very nice and the food was delicious!
Set in gardens and directly across from the Uxmal Archaeological Site, 656 feet from the entrance, La Casa del Mago features an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant. Great Pool Nice Garden Great view at the breakfast Big room Directly at the Uxmal Pyramid & Choco Museum Friendly receptionists
We stayed at the Pickled Onion for two nights in Santa Elena and had all our meals there as it is clean and safe, delicious food. It was a great local area. The little town was interesting and seemed safe. My husband walked through and found it interesting. It was very near many Mayan ruins we visited with our teen children. Great experience!
We stayed at the Hotel Eco Nuevo Altia. It was wonderful. The town of Santa Elena is a simple pueblo with really sweet people. It is too small to get lost in. It is a good location to explore the regions attractions; Uxmal, Ruta Puuc, Loltun Caves, etc. Good dining options. It is much more peaceful than Ticul, but does not yet have a gas station. Make sure you fill your tank along the way and you'll be fine.
This is a small Mayan town. Time and activities are slower here, like most Mayan villages. Unique history, and the towns folk are friendly. Good location to explore the Mayan country. The town is easy to walk through, or there are motor taxis that will show you around for a modest charge. Eating was done at the Flycatcher and Pickled Onion. Good place for Mayan history enthusiasts on the Ruta Puuc. Try some Xtabentun!

This is a little piece of heavenly peace just outside Santa Elena (you can take a taxi from the main square). Set in lush gardens with beautiful flowers and trees, the individual cabins are private and spacious, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are large. You have your own hammock on your verandah. Delicious food, warm and friendly staff for whom nothing seems too much trouble. As a solo traveller I felt extremely welcome, safe and happy.

Gorgious retreat for weary travellers near Santa Elena along Ruta Puuc track. Find youself in a well maintained tropical garden. You will meet owner Valerie who really cares for. Clean, quiet, comfy bedded cosy no-bugs cabañas . Try their Yucatan dishes, everything was just perfect. And delicate breakfast crowned by fabulous local cucumber lemoned juice, too...

A very quiet & relaxing place to stay. It's more of a retreat than a hotel with great staff & food prepared on site if you wish. The breakfast was great. The owners take care to mingle with the guests providing a nice touch. Easy to reach surroundind Mayan sites from here.
