Located inside the Tulum Archaeological Site in Tulum, Hotel Poc Na Tulum features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi in the restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. We spent 3 days in this hotel and had a nice time off and relax. First, some staff member are just great (we say some as these are the people we had really interaction with): from our point of view, the Poc-na experience would not be the same at all without ALEJANDRO! Thanks again for everything and just blessing us with your nice smile and support throughout our stay. Another shout out goes to our dear Hector and finally to the great yoga teacher Allix. It is very easy to communicate with the hotel as they will reach out to you on WhatsApp and provide all info you may need. The Mexican restaurant of the hotel is nice, too bad that it closes so early at night. The Japanese one was just okayish. The breakfast was good and tasty (breakfast is at the Mexican restaurant) but the waiters were not always great but it is also due to the fact that they could not really speak English (excepted Emmanuel who was very good) We were upgraded to a room with sea view, thank you again. The room was dreamy. And sleeping with the sound of the waves is just priceless. The hotel itself is located in the jungle and is the mix of the hotel, the jungle and the beach is very beautiful. We will hopefully be coming back to this place. We greatly recommend.

Beautiful place with lots to do but be warned, this is NOT a cheap vacation. Avoid the taxis at all costs as they charge obscene rates, opt for the local collectivos or bike rentals instead. Food and drink prices at most spots were about on par with Vancouver, Canada ($16 CAD for cocktails and $20+ CAD for mains). Recommended spots: La Hoja Verde - great value, fantastic food, wonderful staff Bonita bar - good cocktails, friendly staff, amazing live music Encanto - brilliant mezcalita, lovely staff and beautiful backyard patio PERRO NO COME PERRO - street tacos and more that will blow.your.damn.mind. Such good value too! The Better Donut - delicious donuts, amazing milkshakes! Cenote Encantado Nuan - large open cenote with diving/bathing deck, good value at $100 MXN entry
The town itself is not particularly special, but there is a quite spectacular archaeological park which is worth visiting. I guess I would still opt for Tulum against the madness of places like Cancun and Playa del Carmen, but quite frankly there isn't much choice in the area as all the sea side is taken up by large resorts and hotels. We went to Yucatan mainly to visit Chitzen Itza which was well worth the visit, but the region lacks the authenticity of other areas in Mexico; that is also true about the local cuisine. The local nature is nice but the nearby cenotes are swarmed by tourists. You better off picking a random one away from the urban centres that will make it worth it.
Great place I’m American but have lived in Cancun since 1998. I own property in Tulum and have stayed at several resorts. This ranks at the top. Great staff, great food, great happy hour, reasonably priced. I’ll be back for sure. Mateo’s grill is a couple hundred feet and has great food and IPA’s that n tsp, lots of beautiful cenotes. Gyrations time
Tulum is effectively a beach town under construction. The beach hotel zone is one long tourist trap - high prices, low quality food and drink. Would recommend downtown instead. Expect to spend $50USD daily on taxis.
Tulum was a pleasant surprise. There is a lot happening in the area by way of development that is drawing more visitors, yet it still manages to hold onto its "cute beach town" vibe. What I really liked was how there are three areas that offer different experiences, and they are all easy to get to, depending on you mode of transportation. There is Tulum Centro (downtown), the areas/neighborhoods around Tulum Centro, and the beach. We experienced all three by way of scooter, which was a lot of fun and perhaps preferable to a car. I also liked how everything felt lush and jungle-like, that I could basically wear my swimsuit, cover-up, and sandals just about anywhere, and experiencing the near-perfect weather when we visited there in the spring. Visit the cenotes and take the plunge! There are so many, and each one has its own unique characteristics. We booked a tour to Chichen Itze and a tour bus picked us up from a central location in town. If you don't want to travel that far but still want to see ruins, there are two options for local ruins in Tulum: 1) El Castillo in the Zona Arqueologica de Tulum (just north of the Hotel Zone along the beach and 2) Coba Ruins, just north of Tulum Centro. Campanella Cremerie is the best little local cafe with excellent coffee, gelato, and food on a cute little corner in Aldea Zama. We rented scooters from Good Bikes Only in Aldea Zama, and Yenci was the perfect resource for all the questions we had about things to do and connected us directly to those experiences. She was an invaluable resource.
Tulum beach is beautiful and generally pretty clean apart from the undeveloped plots along the beach front where there is a little bit of rubbish and seaweed. Coming from London, we found Tulum beach to be very expensive and particularly in the evenings that many of the restaurants and bars were quiet. Maybe due to the season (April) but feels like most people stay in town (cheaper) and travel to the beach for the day. We would recommend Holbox over Tulum for anyone who wants a beach break.
Authentic hotel in a fabulous location, with helpful reception staff who directed me to a nearby bike rental for cycling to beach and Tulum ruins. Bike could be kept securely overnight in courtyard so no worries there. The room was very clean and nicely prepared and actually had a bedside lamp (not always a given in Mexico). Plenty of restaurants around and a short walk from ADO bus station but off the main highway so quiet and peaceful. Could also leave my bag from checkout until my evening departure which was handy.
I want to start by saying that I love this place. I always like to try new places when I come to Tulum, and I can tell you that you won't be dissapointed with this new hotel. The pool is just huge & beautiful. Nature is part of the essence of it, just what I needed to be able to relax. The location is perfect, downtown is 5 minutes away driving and 15 minutes to the beach hotel zone. I also wanted to thank the staff, they were very polite & professional at all times and very helpful with all my requests.
from the moment we arrived at the hotel they took great care of us, giving us information about all the activities we could do. The hotel is not in the hotel zone but it has the most beautiful beach in Tulum and you can get to the hotel zone by bike during the day without problem, at night there are restaurants nearby if you want to eat in the hotel zone you can go by taxi. Yazmin always attended us with great kindness and gave us all the information we needed. It is definitely a hotel that I recommend.
We spent 18 days in Mexico and this was the best hotel we stayed in! amazing quality, a real European luxury hotel. We were even upgraded to a room with a balcony - so much better! The food was amazing, the rooftop pool and jacuzzi are great, and Omar from the restaurant is one of the kindest people I’ve ever seen! The location is very good because it’s in a rich part of the city and it’s very safe. They provide free bicycles or you can rent scooters.
Tulum
excellent location in the middle of Tulums hotel zone, note it isn’t actually on the beach it’s just on the other side of the beach road you can walk to the back in literally one minute, very good price for the location and surprisingly smart. the rooms are in metal containers but are designed smart and modern inside with aircon included. I’d happily return. parking also available. also decent wifi which is a rarity in Tulum.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful! Very boho chic vibes and they have an amazing rooftop pool overlooking the jungle. The restaurant is good, with reasonable prices. The staff is very helpful, providing recommendations and advices and they can call a cab for you. The hotel has bikes available (for a price) but its easy to book and definitely recommend to use to explore tulum!
Dinner was delicious! The property is gorgeous and activities included (yoga, underground river your with Gonzalo, cenote swimming, biking) are great. The nature and local culture respect are greatly appreciated by customers (usually seeking calm and staying away from busy and noisy luxury hotels in Tulum area. It is a high end Hacienda.
Gorgeous property. Felt like a luxurious escape after having stayed in the crazy hotel zone. I left my last hotel not wanting to come back to Tulum but Coco Hacienda changed my mind. All of the staff was so kind and helpful. This is truly such an amazing place and feels so safe for a female solo traveler.
Hotel was directly on the beach and our bungalow was steps away from the water. It was right next to the restaurant but felt quiet due to partitions. It was right in the center of Tulum beach zone but very quiet and peaceful, but being in center made it easy to get around. Perfect getaway!
Glamping at its finest. I found Tulum as a whole to be over crowded and overrated. Staying at Habitas was the best part of my trip - the hotel facilities, restaurant and staff are absolutely incredible. It made the whole trip for me - I didn’t want to leave.
Modern hotel with an exceptionally beautiful garden area. The pool area and the beach is unique and very well maintained. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast is incredibly rich and generous, the best of our trip through mexico!
Very nice and very quite hotel in the archeological zone of tulum. Romantic and pleasant. our jungle view room had a decent ocean view and it was amazing. Tea in the room at turn off was great. Service was also great. Very nice experience overall.
