We loved our stay here. Even though we were set slightly back from the river, this was almost a bonus, as there were fewer mosquitos and we had a nice view from the restaurant/reception area. The food in the evening was delicious and the fact it was a set menu meant we tried new dishes, and we loved that the food was made my some of the locals - a really nice touch. The river tours were great fun, as was the hike up the hill, and our room and the reception area were both really comfortable for when we just wanted to relax. The room was really spacious and the air con was excellent. But what made our stay so special was the staff. They made us feel at home and were so helpful and friendly - we spent a good few hours chatting to them, which was so lovely.
