The marketing of the tourist attractions by the authorities can be better. Dont just promote the beaches. Goot family spots like the Wild Life centre and the Craft centre are of World Class standards.

It gets worse from previous visits.. This town is a bit run down and I think better planning and maintenance could be done. It used to be a much better spot to hang around. There is a seafod stall name Ka Kee Lang which serves great food with very reasonable price. Much better than its neighbour stalls. A eatery opposite Sri Langkawi mini mart, which sells mamak / arabian food is also worth the visit.WeeneeMalaysia - Scored 1010

Everything is near. You can go shopping for chocolate, minyak gamat & aroma terapi, kain batik etc. Unfortunately, Dataran Lang is closed for renovation until further notice. Nearby there is Lagenda Park, a good area for taking photos, a splendid view & clean. You must go to Warung Roti Canai Penarak in the morning for breakfast. Roti canai is so good with a variety of kuih too.

Try to avoid park in restricted or compound area because you will get fine and summons from PBT

Places to visit were the large park approaching Eagle Square, the Jetty, Maha Tower, beautiful sunsets, Giant Eagle Statue, Shopping Plaza & serene beach near the jetty. Maha Tower changes colour after sunset. Hotel staff very helpful & friendly & free buffet breakfast was also very good with a variety of choices of food. Afternoon high tea was also included for free for an extra nibble with coffee, tea or juice.

The people , the food, overall prices as this is a duty free island... Very easy to navigate in a car.. plenty of places tosee and experience.. Cable Car... Oriental Village, Resteruants, Pentai Chenang.. Yellow Beach Cafe.. Underwater World... Green Coconuts... Malaysian Cuisine. Thai Cuisine, Indian Cuisine...all excellent.. Good Clean Water...No Tummy upsets as per other Asian experiences.
