An old hotel but well maintained. We booked for family room with two queen bed and the room and bed are spacious. I requested for Muar river view previously and they gave me room at 7th floor and facing the river. There were tea and coffee provided together with heater. Toilet and room were clean. Comfortable stay. Muarar hotel also near to good local eateries such as Satay Renney and Kedai kopi 434. Staff also very welcoming and helpful.

Actually I was surprised by the number of things tourist can do here in Muar. There is a river cruise as well as a sunset lookout point. Then, there are also the old buildings around the town. To add, this is also a food haven town with many great places to try and local dishes are a must. Traffic in Muar can be hectic at times with the traffic lights can be a bit confusing as to whether the right lane turns right or to go straight, and the left lane turns left or to go straight. There are many many cars on the roads during peak hours but not much delay experienced. It was a really short trip so didn't had a chance to seek out its shopping scene.FahmySMalaysia - 10

Muar is a very clean town. I really admire that. my friends and I was there on a Saturday so most of the shops are closed. You will find alot of activities to do in Muar. Tonnes of superb food, just search for it.

Eateries are all around and you can choose according to your budget, There's a night bazaar also where they sell local stuff. People are friendly. Getting around is easy thanks to online taxi services or you could simply walk around to explore the city as the city is clean and have a fine weather.
