Pangkor Pop Ash Hotel, MNY Hotel & Resort, and Vagary Pangkor got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Pangkor.
Like the nature, serenity, wildlife, interior and architectural design. The buffet was good but the Chinese restaurant had been overrated. The Chinese cuisine was average. There wasn't any delicate fresh seafood which would be great to have on such a beautiful private island. In addition, you can't swim due to jelly fish. However, this wasn't a big issue as there was a pool right by the beach
An island with beautiful beaches which still maintains its nature. Not too commercialized and limited no of cars on the island reduces the pollution, giving you clean, fresh air. Since the island is declared as free duty zone, overnight visitors have the option to shop for duty free items especially imported chocolate at a cheaper price than the mainland. The island is also famous for dried anchovies (ikan bilis mata biru) which is most sought by Malaysians
Horrible, they charged me for an extra bed, which was the sofa in the room, they put cover sheet and pillow, around 65% of my reservation. A bad waste water smell was always in the area in the garden villas, I feel like living in sewage factory, not in a hotel.
I came to Pangkor without any high expectation and when I reached, I am just blown away with just how beautiful this small island are! I rent a scooter and just ride around the island finding quiet, secluded beach. Some beach have rough waves because of the open sea and some are just very peaceful where you can swim. I definitely recommend you to rent a scooter and find your own spot!
1. Stay 2 or 3 days at least for best experience. 2. Rent a motorcycle is a must!! Rate at RM50/day (scooter bike) . But be careful, the road a bit tricky. 3.Search for food near town not by the beach ( different price range)
Pangkor island is such a romantic place. It hosts an amazing community. The food culture is quite good. There are several beaches to try water sports and to relax. It is home to a thriving Hokkien community and one of the places to try its authentic cuisine, which amazes your tastebuds. And the food is quite affordable. There are beautiful historical monuments around, such as one of the largest Taoist temples in Malaysia. There is no public transport on Pangkor island. There is a taxi service called pink Taxi which charges you a flat fee of either 15-20-25 rm flat fee regardless of the distance. Your best bet would be renting a bike or a car, as it is the best way to explore this island. The car/bike rides around the island are breathtaking and serene. Make sure to have enough cash in your hand since ATMs are hard to find on this little island.
very nice touch to the hotel, new and clean, free water and free to use kitchen utensils. we met the owner the last day and he was very nice. Scooter rental right next to it. the best beach on the island was about 10 mins walking
Pangkor
