Located 24 mi from the Etosha National Park, Eagle Tented Lodge & Spa is located 60 mi from Outjo. The lodge features a restaurant, bar and outdoor swimming pool which is surrounded by a lush bush. We had an absolutely amazing stay - not at Eagle tented camp, which was closed for renovations - therefore we were upgraded to Epacha Lodge. This is a breathtaking Lodge from the views to the rooms down to the exclusive furniture! The staff was wonderful: most specifically, I had a medical emergency on the first day and chose to leave my daughter of 12 at the lodge since I had no idea how long it would take and I didn't want to drag her to the hospital (especially now with COVID etc). Everyone has been taking such good care of her and I don't think she even missed me a second! Since we did not pay the "real" fee for Epacha, I cannot comment on the value for money. All in all, it was a beautiful stay, the nicest and most helpful staff and not to forget the outstanding cuisine!

Located 6.2 miles from Etosha National Park Anderson Gate, Etosha Oberland Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and air-conditioned accommodations with a terrace and free WiFi. We had a premium family chalet which was large, private and luxurious. The air conditioning was effective and the beds comfortable. The room was cleaned in the morning and the beds turned down in the evening. The bathroom area was large with an excellent shower and an outside shower which was completely open with a great view of the bush. The terrace was large, comfortable and completely private with extensive views over the bush and no other buildings or walkways in view. Perfect privacy was ensured by the fact that guests are not allowed to stray from marked areas. The common areas were spacious and luxurious and included three sets of sundowner seats where guests have a great view of the waterhole which was visited by several rhino, springbok and other animals each evening. The food was of a high standard and staff were pleasant and helpful.. The Anderson Gate of Etosha National Park is only a 15 minute drive away.

If you are planning a trip to Etosha, I'd highly recommend a stop-over in Okaukuejo. Its conveniently located with many beautiful lodges to choose from. Outjo is just an hour drive and the road is paved all the way. There's plenty of wildlife. On my next visit, I'll definitely go with a 4*4 for a self game drive in Etosha.
Stayed in Gondwana Etosha from 16th to 17th July this year - and got charged twice for the room, which is never a great thing in my view. Very interested in seeing whether this will be rectified or not. Too easy for the hotels to take advantage of credit card details.
We had one of the standard rooms...lowest accommodations besides camping. The room was very musty and dusty. The staff very impersonal. But it was nice to be able to walk to the waterhole any time day or night to see animals. The food/buffet was expensive but it was pretty good. The waterhole is really the only reason to spend a night here, except you get in to the park a little earlier to be able to look for the big cats. The price for the accommodation was soooo overpriced for what it was. You are paying for location only here.
Our stay at Okaukuejo was wonderful!! The waterhole was an absolute highlight. Our room was really great !! We enjoyed sitting the the water hole and watching the wild animals coming to the hole. Unfortunately we were only there one night and didn't eat any meals there so I can not comment on the meals. It was practical to have a gas station at the site so that we could check the air in our tires and fill up gas before starting our trip in Etosha!
Booking in was close to unpleasant with smiles a rarity. Cheer up. First impressions. Accommodation comfortable and facilities for food, fuel etc reasonable. We braaied for dinner but breakfast was very good. Jackals around the camp after dark were interesting and the waterhole and viewing terrace were great. Missed the night floodlit experience but good reports were heard.
Theres nothing not to like about Namibia, its a cultural experience that will delight, the people are amazing, happy and friendly. Self drive through the desert to Okaukuejo if a lifetime experience, then take a guided tour of Etosha to appreciate the knowledge and experience that they can share, you get to see more and far less stressful than driving yourself (we did both). Spend a few dollars more and stay at Gondwana Safari Lodge, the food (all meals) is absolutely fantastic and the views are the best, ... and the staff were all amazing.

This is a review from the Epacha Lodge&Spa, not the Eagled tended but i think their the same hotel group. We we're diverted to Epacha due to closure of Eagled, apparently due to low tourist numbers. We had an excellent treatment by Graham and Andy and would like to thank both for their sympathy and professionalism. It´s a little bit far from the etosha center (+/-47min) but just outside the hotel there are plenty of animals to see (giraffes walking around etc). The room is idyllic.

This is a really beautiful hotel with massive rooms and the outdoor shower is really lovely. There is a lot of wildlife in the hotel gardens/grounds and that is really the selling ticket for me --- one shouldn't have to go to a park to see wildlife in Africa. The staff are also really lovely people, they make a lot of effort to accommodate the visitors. Many thanks to Abraham, Elena and Brenda for being so kind to our team.

Great location very close to the National park, you can organise safaris that are hosted by the accommodation, very welcoming and helpful staff, fantastic room and shower, the views all around were incredible, the whole hotel set up was beautiful, the food was great, great that you can sit on the balcony and enjoying the view with the sounds of nature rather than bar music

I loved that it was right near the entrance of the park. We had our own bathroom and shower, plus a space for grilling. We were fortunate to spend the New Year's here. They also have a shop inside to stock up on supplies.
Great location (close to the park). Great buffet at breakfast and dinner (although slow at breakfast for eggs if at rush hour). Great pool and it’s true there was wildlife around the hotel which was lovely. Fridge in room.
