Los Cocos provides fairly basic accommodations but what sets them apart is the quality of the staff. Marlon, his family and his staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating every step of the way. The food is typical Nicaraguan fare cooked beautifully with generous portions. We were always met with smiles. As we are practiced our Spanish, the Los Cocos team were patient and worked with us to ensure that expectations were well communicated. They spent time with us and got to know our children. The space is incredibly safe and the location is excellent, being directly across from playa Santa Cruz and the Saturday market. If you need a taxi, Marlon is more than willing to drive you wherever you need to go in a comfortable pick up truck. He can help you arrange horse tours, vehicle rental, kayak tour, hiking tour and whatever else you can imagine on the island. We have returned to Los Cocos twice, and we couldn't imagine staying at any other hotel on Isla de Ometepe!

The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. Highly responsive to our requests and needs. We stayed during low season, and they opened the restaurant exclusively for us for dinner! The room was very quiet, as the accommodation was in a separate small building. The only sounds were from birds in the morning! The view of Concepcion is also beautiful.

Fabulous rooms, clean and very comfortable. Lovely views over the lake. Staff were really accommodating.booked excursions and made packed lunches. Food was great too.

It as quiet with a great beach and pool area. The hotel arranged tours and a privet air conditioned taxi if we needed to go anywhere. The hotel food was lovely and room cleaned daily. If anything the room pictures online dont do it justice Faultless

We loved it here and would not hesitate to stay again if we were on ometepe. The beds were comfortable and clean, the rooms had fans and aircon, the Wi-Fi was amazing, the food was excellent, we woke up right on the beach and watched stunning sunsets whilst sipping beers. The staff were friendly and helpful, Fernando was welcoming and the tunes in the bar were great. However, other people may find fault in that the rooms were basic with little furniture beyond the beds, the showers were cold and the menu was a bit limited - didn’t bother us, but just an FYI.

This hotel was fabulous. We stayed twice and had two rooms, so we actually saw 4 separate rooms. All of them were really high standard. I don’t think the photographs do this hotel justice. It is stunning. The location and a really central and the staff are lovely. I would love to come back and of course it was exceptional value for money

Amazing views, lovely pool area. Clean comfortable rooms with nice balcony. Nice breakfast with coffee and fruit. Gonzalo is very kind and genuinely cares about his guests. He helped me find things to do on the island and was really friendly and fun to talk with. I’d definitely come back here, it’s a special place.
