The location and the view were amazing. We stayed in the deluxe room on the eighth floor, and every day, the view was spectacular. The breakfast was really nice, and the whole staff was very friendly. The hotel is perfect for a city just as perfect. Delft and the Hampshire is a perfect match.

excellent location, helpful staff, good breakfast.
Delft is a picturesque Dutch city with canals and historic buildings, situated between Rotterdam and The Hague. Birthplace of the famous Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, this destination is also home to the iconic Delft blue porcelain and the University of Technology.
Like a phoenix from the ashes, the 17th century Town Hall of Delft was destroyed on 1618 and rebuilt by the architect Hendrick de Keyser. Located across from the City Hall in the centre of the Market square, the Protestant church of Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) with the imposing tower is connected with the Dutch Royal Family.
Resting place for Piet Hein, Maarten Tromp and Johannes Vermeer, the Oude Kerk (Old Church) was built in 1240 and is one of the main landmarks of the city along with the Prinsenhof. Booking.com offers a variety of apartments and hotels in the centre of Delft.
The Delftware factories with the blue ceramics and the hand-painted porcelain are definitely something that travellers should not miss while visiting the Netherlands. Weather permitting, you can enjoy a local beer on a canal terrace.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is about 40 minutes away by car or public transport. Delft railway station has train connections to Amsterdam, Utrecht and Leiden.

A very pretty town with a charming antique market on a Saturday, an impressive main square, lovely canals, lots of churches and of course a windmill. If you like pottery the Delft pottery is also very nice! We visited for the Jazz festival which was fabulous, a very buzzy, friendly and lively atmosphere, and all free.
There are lots of bars and eateries, we took the canal tour when we saw the smallest museum in Europe, the view of one of Vermeers famous paintings and learnt a lot about the buildings and their history and we hired bikes for the day and rode one of the many routes from Delft. Obligatory when you are in the Netherlands!

Delft is so pretty and a delight to visit.
I can recommend the canal trip
A visit to the Delft Pottery if you love china
Train and bus stations make for easy access to everything.
I can highly recommend a visit it to the nicest bakery I have been in. Its called Let's Bake a Story, you pass it on the canal trip on the way back. Run by two sisters, who are just a delight, and put all their love into their banking and that reflects at every level.
Lets Bake a Story is a must-do in beautiful Delft

Delft is at the heart of The Netherlands, a city with both a student vibe and loads of art and history. It's convenient for visiting other cities too, and less expensive than staying in - say - Amsterdam or Haarlen.

Delft has wonderful architecture and history but is lively, engaging and simply one of the nicest places we have ever visited. The service is impeccable everywhere, the people are so friendly and the choices of places to eat or just sit and admire the views are almost endless
The hotel was an easy 10 minute walk from the station. The area around the hotel felt very safe, as did all of Delft. Both rooms and communal areas were spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated with a Vermeer / Royal Delft theme. The breakfast was excellent and had something for everyone. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was also great that there was a very good restaurant next door (Spijshuis de Dis), as we were quite tired after an early start on the day we arrived.
Interesting hotel with themed bedrooms in a great location. Despite the buzzy atmosphere in the square my room on the top floor was really quiet. The upgrade to the Chinese- themed room was welcome and I had a sunken bath and a bed which went up and down. Also an amazing view over the roofs of Delft. Breakfast was good and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. Friendly staff.
Our first stop in a 12 day trip experiencing the Netherlands and Belgium. It was just what we needed to acclimate ourselves to the new time zone. Bonus was the outdoor restaurant adjacent to the inn. And a short drive to Delft.
Family run hotel, in the centre of town. Very friendly personnel. Very good breakfast. Room, beds, bathroom: good. Our room looked out over the street Oude Delft (which is the oldest street of Delft) and the canal.
Clean and comfortable hotel. Comfortable beds with lovely soft pillows. Great shower.
Excellent breakfast.
Best of all, the staff. Really friendly and helpful.
Shuttle into Delft really welcome.
