Hotel in Delft
Located on the central Beestenmarkt, Hotel de Koophandel is surrounded by cafés and restaurants in the heart of Delft. The hotel was modern, but yet was atmospheric and charming due to its design and its location in the Old Town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from most of the main tourist sights. There are lots of restaurants nearby. I stayed in Room 15 which has charming iron paned windows an looks out on the square in front of the hotel. The room is Vermeer themed. I imagine that in the summer this room would be noisy as there are many open air restaurants in the square. In early April, the windows were closed and it was very quiet.

Hotel Grand Canal is quietly situated in the center of Delft and just 160 yards away from Delft’s Central Train Station, which offers many public transportation facilities. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful two weeks traveling in the Netherlands and Belgium by train, and by chance had incredible sunny weather throughout this time. We accepted travel guide advice to use Delft as a base for short trips, which for us meant Haarlem, the Hague, and Rotterdam/Kinderdijk. Hotel Grand Canal was a perfect location in Delft, as it is steps away from the brand new train station. In some periods, there are eight trains per hour from Amsterdam to Delft, and every train was EXACTLY on time. Our Delft hotel was a short and pleasant walk from the Market Square and other major attractions such as the beef market square. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, storing our bags as we planned an arrival well before check-in time; and preparing an early breakfast when requested on days when we set out before most restaurants were open. The hotel has a nice breakfast room, with a buffet that includes freshly prepared eggs and many other items. All of the hotels 24 or so rooms have windows opening onto the Grand Canal. Our room had a high ceiling, ample space, and a decent private bathroom.

Delft is magical. Eventhough it's a university city it's quiet and not crowded. Lots of little nice shops, bars and cafes and fine dining. The canals are beautiful, historical city with places to visit.
It is a beautiful city with charming canals that divide the city in a nice way, You would definitely like the ceramics museum as it is a traditional thing of the city, besides a high-standing university with modern facilities.
Delft is a great staging point for day trips to the Hague, Rotterdam, Haarlem, and many other wonderful destinations. The center of Delft is compact, and although bus and tram transportation is available, we walked everywhere as this was so pleasant. A canal tour is recommended. In addition to the major tourism sites, we recommend a walk through the university area near the Royal Delft center. Modern Delft is in large part a college town, with one of the largest and best-respected technical and engineering schools in Europe. The university has a number of impressive modern buildings, the most notable of these being the university library. A trip up the New Church tower should be a part of any visit to Delft.
They call Delft "little Amsterdam", a lot of canals, but more cosy. A more relaxed athmosphere then the very crowded and expensive Amsterdam. Good restaurants, plenty of nice bars, including a terrace.
Delft is a lovely destination. Small enough to wander around without getting tired. Great shopping destination, many nice restaurants and cafes. Lively nightlife and plenty of art. Close to Rotterdam and The Hague.
If you are interested in history, or just beautiful surroundings, Delft is the place to be. The canals are interacting all over the city. The historic city center is not that big and there is walking distance to everything you need. Interesting museums, views, and restaurants.
Delft
It was a characterful (rustic) B&B in a good location - we walked into Delft and back once (that was a lot of walking when added to walking round Delft); on a second trip into Delft, we parked in the free car park the hotel suggested, reducing the extra walking. Although there was no fridge in the room, there was a communal fridge for guests which worked well. The bedroom was exceptionally large with a good table and chairs at one end.
Very nice hotel at a convenient place; just off the highway in a quiet (but more business like) environment. Good choices regarding in-house services (restaurants). Close to the historical centre of Delft. Room clean (important), comfortable and roomy. Design of hallways and rooms closely matched the design of modern hotels in China (in particular the Vision Hotel next to Beihang University in Beijing were we stayed many times).
Got an unexpected upgrade, the 1001 with best view on Delft town, and very comfy room. Very nice stay and breakfast was also quite nice. Also, we had a small welcoming glass of sparkling wine, Well, a nice hotel and cheapest around at this time of the year
The location is excellent - right in the heart of the city at a cosy square with restaurants. The room was spacy and clean. The beds were good. Breakfast is varied and good. The hotel is well kept and clean in all places.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great parking alongside the hotel for motorcycles. Bed was very comfortable and facilities in room were adequate. Great location for a short walk into Delft. Would use again if in the area.
This hotel is very centrally located. My room was very Clean and comfortable and came with a balcony. The hotel is at walking distance from the bars en restaurants. There is a public paid parking across the street.
Delft is a very nice historical city to visit. A good alternative for Amsterdam. The hotel is very nice located and (paid) parking is close by. The buffet breakfast is good.
Breakfast was good. The man serving it was helpful and pleasant. Location was excellent for the centre of Delft, and walking around the town. Pretty part of town.
Great location, and the staff was super friendly. The rooms were big and if your room is on the back of the hotel, you can open your windows.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Situated very close to the old town centre and close to a supermarket. Excellent breakfast.
Hotel is right in Delft center and everything is in a walking distance Private parking is a big plus
Very cute and cozy hotel near the center of Delft. Great place for a short trip to Delft. :)
