Location near train station, on a public square and nestled between canals was convenient and interesting. Lots of restaurants, windmills and canal tours. University and museums are also close by.

We loved the large room with the sitting area, since we were here for a week. We loved looking out our three front-facing windows onto the little street below, the canal, the bridge over the canal and a small park on the other side of the canal.
The bed was very comfortable, and they staff was friendly and helpful.

Scenic and charming college town with lots of brick paved...
Scenic and charming college town with lots of brick paved streets, canals, flowers, and quaint courtyards and bridges, outdoor cafes. If you want to escape from Amsterdam noise, come here. 20 minutes from AMS airport on the train to Leiden Centraal, then either bus or train to many other towns including The Hague. Rent a bike to live like a local, and make sure to visit the botanical garden. Ask at your hotel for locals places to eat.. there are so many hidden gems. And if you like Indonesian cuisine, order the Rice Table.

The old city of Leiden is beautiful and full of energy...
The old city of Leiden is beautiful and full of energy wherever you go. In June it gets dark at about 10.30pm, so you have plenty of time to visit and see places all over the town. To my experience, I think that 3 days (or 2 and a half days) are enough to visit the most important places and enjoy life in Leiden.

Beautiful old city with excellent bus and rail services only...
Beautiful old city with excellent bus and rail services only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Plenty museums to visit and the oldest university in the Netherlands, Botanical gardens and Rembrandt's home and studio. Canal cruises and cycle hire to explore the outer part of the city. Plenty places to eat. We tended to eat at the restaurant near the hotel. Ideal location to visit both Delft and the Hague from. Would hope to return again. I travelled with 18 members of my family and stayed in the Rembrandt Hotel. Everyone thought Leiden was an excellent location to visit Keukenhof, Delft and the Hague from.

Great town and central to day trips all over the Netherlands...
Great town and central to day trips all over the Netherlands. Much more pleasant than staying in Amsterdam and only a short 20 minute train ride directly to Schiphol Airport. Could not be more convenient and relaxing.

Leiden is a an excellent city to visit.
Leiden is a an excellent city to visit. You can easily cycle everywhere, lots of option for nice food and drinks, nice shops and museums. Totally worths a visit! Quite close to Amsterdam, den Hague and Utrecht.
Such a nice and spacious room. Interiors were simple but very pleasing to the eyes. Theres an elevator for those with big luggage. Also a nice short walk from Leiden Centraal station to get to the property. So many good shops, cafes, restos around the area.
Very very convenient access to the entry points of the hotel. They attend to the guests needs as much as they can. So happy to have stayed here when i was in Leiden. =)
A romantic historical building with steep wooden, squeaky stairways leading to the room. Big comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with a bathtub. Very friendly and attentive staff. When my room was ready for me, my luggage was already in my room! Breakfast was served on a wooden plank which was nice. Btw, you can borrow an umbrella at the hotel. Should I revisit Leiden, I´ll definitely stay at Steenhof Suites.
I loved everything about the hotel! The staff was really helpful in every respect, the location was fantastic, very close to the train station and right by the city centre, and the room was big and comfortable, with charming décor. I also liked the breakfast options! I would stay there again, if I ever returned to Leiden!
Boutique hotel with good amenities in room. Very comfortable bed and pillow.
Carpark was shared with Golden Tulip - it is linked to the back of the hotel.
I enjoy the view of the train station.
