I booked the room for 1person, in which I stayed in 1 night (it was lovely and exactly as described) - and then was up graded for the rest of my stay to a bigger room without even asking. Everybody was helpful and efficient. I'll be sure to come back. Don't hesitate to book here! You will love it.

Nice small town with the canal surrounding and the best part is very near to keukenhof route and well connected with Shiephol airport. The hotel are also cheaper and nicer You can e xplore local Leiden half a day and then visit tulip garden during 4 to 5pm and stay till sunset time and return by 854 or even later by bus no 50. A day stay in Leiden is good enough.
Beautiful city full of younger people as it is a University town. Many and various ethnicity restaurants mostly on the pricey side, but you can also find reasonable food at corner stores and donair stores. Much to see and much to do and easy to ride on the designated cycling paths. Drivers are respectful of cyclists. Many Dutch cities can claim that they are the "Venice of the North" so it is a true statement to say that there are more canals and bridges here than in Venice indeed. A short 7km bike ride west of Leiden will take you to Katwijk and a slightly longer one about 15km to Keukenhof tulip heaven which should not be missed if you are here in April. Good museums, plenty of bars and cozy little restaurants abound in this gem of a city.
Leiden is an ancient town dripping with history and many monumental buildings, definitely worth a stay. Choose this town instead of Amsterdam! The town is small enough that walking will take you anywhere in the city centre, and there are many many places worth a visit. The botanical gardens, the birthplace of Rembrandt, and lots of bars and good restaurants! Book a hotel here, and take the train to Amsterdam, for a good combination of large city and somewhat smaller town.
Leiden rivals Amsterdam for its historic center, century old houses, lining its medieval canals. It boasts 14 museums, with a great diversity of art works, dating back to the early 17th century. Visit the house where Rembrandt started his career and learned his famous techniques. Enter the place where the Pilgrim Fathers lived before setting sail to N. America. The museum of Antiquities has a rich collection of artifacts dating back to Egyptian, Etruscan, as well as Ancient Greek and Roman times. On top of that the well preserved historic city center features exclusive shopping and a host of cafés and restaurants. Leiden is home to the oldest university in the nation. Scientific mile stones can be seen at the Boerhave museum. In April-May the tulip fields are in the direct vicinity.
Great little city to visit for a couple of days. We love the botanical gardens, even in November, but I would recommend giving the Lakenhal museum a miss-it was so poorly curated-it was a waste of time for us.
Leiden city centre is beautiful and it is worth walking around. In november the weather is often very bad, cold and wet and the icy wind does not help. In this case it is better to get into a nice tearoom and have a special tea with cake. Also warm chocolate is an experience!! Not to miss the café inside the Hortus Botanicus, lovely place and good food!! Museums are very interesting; the Japanese museum is very unusual but do not miss it!!
This clean and tastefully furnished hotel is situated in the city centre, 10 minutes on foot from the railway station. Lots of shops, restaurants and pubs around, a quay for boat trips along Leiden's canals is some 100 m from the door. The staff are wonderful, very polite and friendly. Check in was quick and unproblematic, the system for unlocking the doors with an app on your mobile was new to me, but intuitive and very easy to use.
Location is great—right in the center of Leiden. The shopping zone with many restaurants and cafes, as well as the university were within very easy walking distance of the hotel. There’s a carpark directly behind the hotel, so we were able to park the car, and we didn’t have to use it again until we left Leiden. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend!
Excellent hosts who were very helpful and attentive. The location is perfect for quick (5 minute level walking) to the railway station, from which almost anywhere in the Netherlands is a short ride. Grocery and speciality stores are also 5 minutes away and the key sights of Leiden not much further. The flat is spacious and very comfortable.
Great location. Supermarket and local restaurants are situated close to the hotel. Leiden is wonderful. The train station to Amsterdam is in 3 min of slow walking distance. The breakfast is not cheap, but it is worth. The room (business suit) has all need equipment for cooking.
The place is both traditional and cosy, and Leiden's first hotel. It is located in one of Leiden's most central and historic neighbourhoods, with museums and important sights very close. The station too is in walking distance. There is a great wine bar opposite!
Leiden is situated near Amsterdam, Den Haag, near airport - excellent connection, it's easy to get to airport or another city and use Leiden city transport. Hotel is situated in city centre, few minutes walk from central train/bus station, breakfast was perfect.
I mainly chose this hotel because its location was convenient to a friend's house just across the canal. The rooms were basic but clean and the beds were comfortable. The free parking was convenient. The Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch.
The hotel was perfectly positioned to enjoy the town of Leiden and yet also enjoy a peaceful nights sleep. The decor was lovely and the staff went above and beyond to help every time. Lovely people. Thank you for the fabulous service

Having free parking right outside was a great benefit. The location was good as it was only a short walk into Leiden center. The lounge was bright with a large window so you could watch life outside in comfort.
The location of the hotel is nice and in the heart of the center of Leiden and close to the central station. Some staff were so kind and helpful even with my personal stuff (Mv Ratina as an example).
The front desk staff were so nice and friendly, which is rare in the Netherlands. The breakfast was delivered to my room in the morning and it was delicious!
The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Location is close to railway station. Really good hotel to stay during business trip.
Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms and excellent location.
Hotel room is standard, clean.

Villa Rameau was everything I hoped and more. The staff were exceptional. Friendly, helpful and a pleasure to interact with. The Villa itself is just amazing and so well maintained. I love the history of the place and the unique touches within the villa. That rooftop deck with its incredible view of the Pieterskerk was my favorite part. It was so relaxing to sit outside in comfort and listen to the church bells. Just wonderful. The location is perfect..so close to many things and very easy to get to from Leiden Centraal. I will DEFINITELY be back!
Excellent location. Within walking distance from the Leiden Central Station and from the venue of the conference I attended. Every interaction I had with the staff was always very friendly and helpful.
The freedom and rest after a busy day of reunions. I could relax and enjoy the amenities. I could sleep all night long and I got a delicious breakfast next morning, ready for the next working day.
