Leiden is a beautiful city, criss-crossed by bridges and water. A river trip is an excellent introduction. A lively place because of its University students and the friendliness of Leiden people, there are plenty of places to enjoy varied cooking from around the world.

Leiden is an ideal location for a city trip of some days. It is very convenient to walk around in the town. This is a typical dutch city built around water.
The beach is around 10 km away and reachable by public transport or bike if you do not have a car.

Scenic and charming college town with lots of brick paved streets, canals, flowers, and quaint courtyards and bridges, outdoor cafes. If you want to escape from Amsterdam noise, come here. 20 minutes from AMS airport on the train to Leiden Centraal, then either bus or train to many other towns including The Hague. Rent a bike to live like a local, and make sure to visit the botanical garden. Ask at your hotel for locals places to eat.. there are so many hidden gems. And if you like Indonesian cuisine, order the Rice Table.
We wish we had been able to stay for longer! We had a lovely spacious room, which was clean and well decorated/ furnished, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee, and a nice bathroom. The staff were friendly. The hotel is in a great location on the edge of the historic part of the city - a great base to explore from, and very convenient to walk to the train station (less than 10min). Lots of places to eat nearby and a few supermarkets within walking distance too. We loved Leiden and would love to come back (and stay here again!)
The hotel is located very close to the main train station of Leiden which is very convenient if you arrive by train. The city center (old town) is still in walking distance. Breakfast and check-out until 12:00 is an asset. I requested a room change due to works next to the hotel, which was organised immediately without hesitation. The hotel was renovated recently and is quite clean.
Right across Leiden Centraal! Ideal for a visit to Keukenhof with the bus terminal in front of the hotel. Good F&B outlets are all within walking distance. Supermarkets are right next door.
