Unfortunately, we had too little time to walk around the city during the day. We were there only in the evening and we really liked the atmosphere, very cozy, beautiful houses, shops, and art gallery. And we found a very nice restaurant for dinner. We will definitely come back.

Ootmarsum is especially nice if you've never been there.

Ootmarsum is especially nice if you've never been there. I highly recommend lunch at Dennenoord Teahouse in Vasse!!! Reservations are recommended. Delicious lunch, but they also offer a very extensive High Tea. They rent out a few cottages and have a lovely English tea and trinket shop. They bake everything fresh!

Ootmarsum is a romantic little town, particularly associated with the artist Ton Schulten. The surrounding area is one of the most attractive recreational areas in the Netherlands. Cycling tours are especially recommended.

Ootmarsum is a charming and very pleasant place with a wide range of art offerings and a keen eye for design. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes. The surrounding area is beautiful, and the cycling paths and opportunities for experiencing nature are simply excellent.

If you love art, and especially glass art, Ootmarsum is a highly recommended place. There's a wide selection of restaurants and terraces. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the people are friendly and helpful.

A very charming town with lovely boutiques and plenty of art...

A very charming town with lovely boutiques and plenty of art galleries and the like. You could also cycle to Oldenzaal (23 km each way, twice), Bad Bentheim (35 km each way, twice), or go shopping in Nordhorn (14 km each way, twice). Many beautiful bike paths! Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel in lovely location. A few minutes walk from the town in a very quaint courtyard with the museum and restaurant next door. We were on a cycling holiday, so it was easy find and good secure indoor location to store the bikes overnight. Nice view from the bedroom and exceptionally comfortable large bed.Very nice stylish bathroom. Receptionist very helpful and friendly.

The location was lovely . We had a locked garage under the hotel where we could all store our bicycles securely and safely . The food was lovely and reasonably priced as where the drinks . Reminded me of the dirty dancing resort . Beds was comfy and shower was good .
