the amount of amenities here is truly a lot to process, from 2 spas, arcade, climbing wall, few bars, many restaurants, the one spa is stunning outside, ski slopes, hiking trails lake animals ? i mean the list goes on the nicest staff, everyone is so friendly and actually cares intelligent staff, which is hard to find

Absolutely loved staying here, Sigrun was a great host and the farm itself was extremely charming, lots of soul and history. Was only there for a night but I would’ve liked to have stayed longer. Highly recommend

Enough space for a family, very nice view from the living room (if not foggy), lots of useful things in the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was also very convenient to be able to ski-in ski-out. And a covered parking lot is an advantage

We spent a week at the Halsteinsplassen cabin during the Christmas period in 2023. The cabin was even more beautiful than we expected, and it was the perfect setting for our holiday. Helen and her family decorated the cabin beautifully and we were delighted to find a present under the tree. The cabin is located in a stunning location and offers breathtaking views from the main windows. It is thoughtfully designed and well-equipped throughout, making our stay very comfortable. Despite the freezing temperature of -13C outside, the wood burners kept us warm and cosy inside the cabin. The surrounding area is lovely and the cabin has an ideal location for downhill and cross-country skiing.

This hotel opened in May 2010. It is right next to Bjørneparken Shopping Centre and 5 minutes’ drive from Vassfaret Bear Park. Guests enjoy free in-room Wi-Fi and free parking.

From the outside, I really wasn’t expecting much more than a motel but as soon as we stepped inside and were greeted by Thomas on reception, I knew this was going to be great. Freeflow coffee was available for guests in reception and in a station inside the cafe/restaurant too. Check in was smooth and we were soon in our very comfortable, airy and large room. The beds were super comfortable with pillows and duvets like marshmallows covered in crisp clean linen. There were plenty of sockets to charge electrical items and lots of surfaces to place our personal items. The bathroom shower was excellent and very powerful with lots of hot water. Although the hotel is attached to the Mall with a number of supermarkets and McDonald’s, We had dinner in the hotel’s on site restaurant - we both had schnitzel - and it was plentiful and delicious. Our waiter also refilled the bottle of water for us too. Breakfast was a thing of beauty - so much choice and everything supremely well cooked and warm too. The cinnamon rolls were gorgeous. I had a great night’s sleep as the curtains blocked out the light and we were not disturbed by any road noise. It really was a pretty perfect stop over and I’m only sorry we had just one night.
