We travelled to Aurland to get married along the Fjords. We stayed at this hotel for three nights. We stayed in a deluxe double room with a big balcony. The room was spacious, comfortable, homely and warm. It was also very clean and had a small fridge, we loved to throw our snacks in it. They had loads of breakfast options which was great for me, as a vegetarian its difficult sometimes to find what you need. If we ever travel back here in the future this is where we hope to stay. I'd say it's great value for money and recommend it to anyone travelling in the area. We stayed at two four star hotels in Bergen on our travels and none compared to this. The staff were very kind at the hotel, the cleaners were nice and thorough, the reception staff were welcoming and very helpful with my wedding dress. The hotel and surrounding area is like a small touristy village, with the restaurant, cafe, visiting area etc all separate buildings.

We were amazed by the style of the house and how clean everything was! The host was really communicative and helpful, and the whole stay was perfect. The house has all the amenities and is super idyllic. We will definitely be back!

So nice to have an accommodation that met us when we arrived, provided keys, walked us to the rooms, carried our luggage, gave us the highlights and instructions for use of appliances in the room. face to face is a treat after so many e-checkins that can never seem to get the code to us before we arrive. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities you need for a stay in Flam. Given that the village is small and restaurants close early, the well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing your own meals. The location is fantastic, situated right in front of the little port where the Fjord cruises begin. I highly recommend this apartment!

The whole camping site looked very nice and charming. The room was nice, big enough for three of us, and we slept really well. We liked the shared kitchen a lot, it was clean, well equipped, very spacious and light. There was a minor issue with the stairs for the upper bed but it was resolved immediately by the very kind and helpful staff.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The location is very convenient plus there’s beautiful view, rooms are very nice, quiet with comfortable beds and both dinner and breakfast were suuuper delicious. Also staff was very friendly and super nice. It was worth every penny and we would definitely come back!

We visited at the change of the season (Winter to Spring),...

We visited at the change of the season (Winter to Spring), but found it a small place with some excellent tourist attractions (Flam train) and activities (Fjord sauna, Fjord cruises). Only stayed for a night but could have lingered especially a little later into Spring.

Flam is a beautiful little spot.

Flam is a beautiful little spot. Went in April but lucked out with the weather and had sun with mild temperatures- great for hikes up to the center town viewpoint or Brekkefossen waterfall. I can imagine during summer it is more touristy. Prices like most in Norway are more expensive to what we are used to but that’s general for Norway. Food stands, bakery, souvenir shops are easily accessible. I highly recommend visiting the bakery at least once! A favourite was Stegastein viewpoint - a 30 min bus tour. Tours are easily booked at the visitor centre or online and lots of different options from Fjord boat tours to Stegastein viewpoint or Viking Village or stay local for hikes and floating sauna visits. If you are in Norway and heading into the area - Flam is definitely worth a visit either via Flam railway (highly recommend) or a hike or bike in. The views alone are incredible.

We did the winter fjord safari which was excellent!

We did the winter fjord safari which was excellent! We also walked up to the bekkefossen waterfall that was frozen and stunning viewpoint. Heard good things about snow shoe tour so sad we ran out of time for that! I reckon 3 days (2 nights) would have been about right (we had 2 days / 1 night)

Wonderful place.

Wonderful place. We visited in early December so very quiet and peaceful. Spectacular views It snowed which made it even more magical. The people are so friendly and the food delicious. Loved the feel of being surrounded by mountains looking out across the fjord.

A quiet village nestled at the head of a beautiful fiord...

A quiet village nestled at the head of a beautiful fiord with towering mountains all around. Excellent facilities including a bakery, grocery store, Mall of Norway and several restaurants, plus fast food outlets. Mini cruises available to nearby attractions, kayaks for hire and lakeside saunas. The most notable attraction is the world famous Flam Railway which climbs to almost 3000 feet a.s.l. up to Myrdal, where it connects to the Oslo to Bergen line.

Flam is a very small village with lots of tourist.

Flam is a very small village with lots of tourist. It is a beautiful place, don't get me wrong. I think the Nærøyfjord cruise was the best one, compared to Hardanger Fjord and Lysefjord. Unfortunately, it was super windy and rainy so we had to turn around half way through the cruise and couldn't do much of other activities as some of them had to be cancelled.
