The location of the hotel was magnificent. The room overlooked the fjord directly. The hotel's restaurant was right by the fjord. The door of our room opened directly onto the fjord. (It was the only room where the door opened directly onto the fjord. However, all other rooms have balconies with magnificent views.) The staff were very polite and attentive. The room was very spacious. The toilet and bathroom were separate and very convenient. There was a coffee machine in the room. They offer private parking service to customers. There wasn't anything we didn't like. It's truly an amazing hotel. We were pleased with everything. We would like to stay here again next time.

This hotel was amazing! The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and very clean – everything felt luxurious and high-quality. Breakfast was varied and delicious. We stayed with our dog, and the hotel was perfectly prepared for that. They provided a dog bed and bowls, and we had a room with direct access to the garden. Please note that dogs are only allowed in ground-floor rooms, so it’s important to inform the hotel in advance to make sure one of these rooms is available. It was perfect – our dog loved it and could go outside every morning right from the room. The view from the room was stunning, overlooking the harbor with large ships, and the area around the hotel offered plenty of hiking opportunities and beautiful nature. Overall, a 100% experience – both the hotel and its location. A bit more expensive, but absolutely worth it. Perfect stay, especially if you’re traveling with a dog!

The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities you need for a stay in Flam. Given that the village is small and restaurants close early, the well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing your own meals. The location is fantastic, situated right in front of the little port where the Fjord cruises begin. I highly recommend this apartment!

Location is picture perfect. Rooms are small but manageable. Chef specially prepared vegan dinner for us on our request and it was too yummy. Freshly made Breakfast was also very good. There were games and unlimited coffee available all the time. Overall a bit expensive provided the season we chose but we were satisfied with our stay.

Cruising into Flam, perfect for an overnight stay. If you are geared up for some outdoor activity, you can definitely stay longer. But cruising in, one night is delightful, and the train out is well worth it!

Great hike to a nearby waterfall. Nice brewery in town - Aegir Gastropub Being vegan limited my food choices a bit but the Flam Bakery also makes pizza. They made a good tasting pizza without cheese that hit the spot.

Flam is STUNNING Many beautiful activities, peaceful, lovely people, unspoilt - waterfalls, hikes, churches, sauna, just perfection However allowing cruise ships with 6000+ to dock is excessive and will quickly ruin the location and the ambience

It’s a stunning location. The fjords are beyond breath t Asking. The Flåm railway and train from Oslo an adventure in itself. My only complaint is that the tourist shops are generic, it would be nice to see real Norwegian craftsmanship. The food could also be more Norwegian, I didn’t come all this way to eat pizza or burgers. Please have more fish dishes or traditional food available, it ould go down a treat.

Flåm is has an adorable but also a tourist trap with the mall selling souvenirs and the foodtrucks that serv no Norwegian dishes. Brekke Hostel is a terrible place with no standard at all. The red barn has 3 floors with a steep staircase that is suitable for noone. It is dangerous. The big room with several beds had torn cloths between the beds and does not meet any standard. I hope the tourism authorities of Flåm inspect this and have them refurbish the entire buildning to anything acceptable. If not, close it down. It gives Flåm bad publicity. Also only one toilet in the buildning.

We visited at the change of the season (Winter to Spring),...

We visited at the change of the season (Winter to Spring), but found it a small place with some excellent tourist attractions (Flam train) and activities (Fjord sauna, Fjord cruises). Only stayed for a night but could have lingered especially a little later into Spring.

Incredibly clean and spacious apartment with a breath-taking view from the balcony. Balcony has enough space for 4 to dine or 2-3 to sit on a swinging chair just to enjoy the view. Location is as good as it gets in Flåm and staff were really friendly as well. This may very well be the most comfortable stay out of my entire trip to Norway!

Nothing. Expensive, out of town with no shuttle & no taxis.a kettle but no tea or anything..no real bedroom,only 2 beds together just inside the front door, our worst stopover in Norway & the most expensive. Even the access to the “chalet” is over a dirt track ! This is a con & a rip off.

This is a Hostel, not a hotel, therefore there are a lot of rules to follow. The location is brilliant and during busier times it would be nice to meet other travellers in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable and as only 3 rooms were occupied, the toilet/shower sharing was not an issue. J

Clearly the main hotel of the area. It caters for what it is (tourism spot) and has some cool history with nice views. Cleaning staff were very nice.
