I rented this place and had a great experience. The camper was clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed. The inside was cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was peaceful and pretty, and we could use the beautiful garden, which made our stay even nicer. Hosts Danuta and Robert were very kind and helpful, making the rental process easy. Even as a last-minute booking with no prior check-in instructions, our arrival at Gulbrakka Basecamp was incredibly smooth. One of the hosts was outside to greet us immediately, offering a warm welcome and a thorough tour of the facilities, pointing out everything we needed. She even thoughtfully prepared a brew of her favorite tea, which was waiting for us in the shared kitchen with a lit candle as soon as we brought in our luggage – a truly lovely touch! Shortly after, the owner joined us and, with an inviting question about our time, proceeded to share the fascinating history of the place in the shared lounge area, which boasts a spectacular view over the fjord. This storytelling session, a must-experience in person, really enriched our understanding and appreciation of Gulbrakka. To top it all off, he then encouraged us to try a traditional Norwegian sauna with a dip in the icy fjord, even providing special wetsuit-like shoes and extra towels. It was a completely new and exhilarating experience for both of us!
