Set in Lofthus along the Hardangerfjord, 20 mi from Odda, Lofthus Camping features a children's playground and a private beach area. Kinsarvik is 5 mi from the property. Cabins are modern and very clean with wonderful view on the fjord and glacier Take your car and have a visit to Fonna glacier ski resort and get very close look on the glacier by car. Better that buardalen where you need to hike and walk for 2 hour to see the glacier. Good place to visit Odda city as well i stayed for 3 nights Apple، peache and strawberry trees are all around the camp. Enjoy your stay
Set in Lofthus, 16 mi from Eidfjord, Graaten in Hardangerfjord offers a garden and free WiFi. This is an absolutely beautiful house at a stunning, very location right at the fjord. Super comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely living room, a loft with an extra double bed and a very good bathroom. It is a house split in 2 units, next to each other, but still with full privacy. We had the unit with the large balcony/deck with unobstruted view in 3 directions over the fjord. The location is secluded but the owner will send perfect instructions. Kayaks are for rent, fishing for free from the pier. There is even a private tiny sandy beach! Sitting on the couch we saw dolphins swim by and a sea otter lives between the rocks right underneath. I won't call anything perfect that easily but this accommodation is exactly that. At least for us it was.
It was a very nice way towards the place we stayed. It was great seeing all those famous fruit gardens of Hardanger. It wasn't easy finding the place, though, as we didn't get at first that the whole village is called Lofthus. At the foot of the mountain by the road there was a very nice little French looking stone church with a cemetery. It was nice visiting it, taking pictures there and feeling the serene atmosphere.
The whole area od Hardangerfjord is just beautiful. And Lofthus is one of places which can serve as your base camp. From here you can manage a trip to Trolltunga, to many waterfalls, to Monks’ Steps etc. If you are a nature lover, you can spend weeks here :)
There are great hiking areas in lofthus, and you can also visit hardanger which is 30minutes drive away as well as to Odda with same distance. You have the fjord to enjoy boat. One can walk to the town or even drive to nearby areas. Families with children should visit Hardanger.
It’s in a great location. Close to the Queens favourite hike. It is about 1/2 hour from Odda. We originally planned 2 nights in Odda after completing the Trolltunga hike but cancelled and came back to Lofthus. Odda is a bit to industrial. We did have a hire care also.
Perfect place to enjoy spring and summer. We came for a family celebration this time. Last year to visit Mikkelparken. Not far from Mikkelparken in Kinsarvik. - the most beautiful park for kids to have fun. Perfect place for starting hiking in the mountains. Super breakfast included - and the most tasteful dinner available here. For lunch I recommend Gløyp in Kinsarvik!!
