We didn’t manage to get to the Lofoten Islands due to weather conditions and had to stay in Narvik and that hotel appeared to be a real discovery for us. The quality/price ratio for the North of Norway is superb! It is located a bit uphill next to the mountain ski slope. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff is friendly and polite. We have got a spacious room with a balcony. There were a kettle and tea/coffee, a hairdryer, a TV in the room. The hotel provides diverse and nutritious breakfasts. A supermarket is just across the road. If ever in Narvik we will definitely stay here again.

We loved the beauty of the city.

We loved the beauty of the city. Tourist information staff were very friendly and helpful with information for sightseeing. War museum is excellently presented. Gondola ride to the top of Narvikfjellet is a must to see the beautiful sights from above Buses were easy to use and the plenty of shopping centres. We loved all the memorial statues, a beautiful city. We also took a ride on the Arctic Train, suggest this is a day time trip to see the amazing scenery.

In my opinion not worth a visit.

In my opinion not worth a visit. You might have some angle if you're into skiing or if you are a history buff at the war museum, but that's about it. Don't even think about some shopping experience. But a very good starting point for a ride with the night train over the mountains to Stockholm! Leave in the afternoon, be in central Stockholm at noon the day after.

There isn't much happening here.

There isn't much happening here. I think that's also because we came before the skiing season. All the worthwhile things can be done in one day, maybe one and a half if you want some fjord as well.

Narvick is a bit of a hidden jem.

Narvick is a bit of a hidden jem. We were travelling to Abisko in Sweden to view the Northern lights and a friend of mine had travelled the Loften Islands and thought they where one of the most spectacular places on earth and for a New Zealander that's a statement. So we travelled from Abisko to Narvick to spend three days there and we were not disappointed. It's a great base for a fantastic area of Norway.

The bus ride from Tromso to Narvik had amazing scenery.

The bus ride from Tromso to Narvik had amazing scenery. We visited the Narvik war museum which was very large and extremely well curated. It covered the major world wars up to the current conflict in Gaza. We had hoped to catch the Arctic Train to Sweden but part of the trip involved a replacement bus due to a derailment so we missed the most scenic parts of the train trip.

The awesome view from the 8th floor room we had, 805. The evening meal menu choices were limited but simple yet tasty and satisfying, and breakfast buffet offered plenty of choices for all tastes. We had become familiar with the hotel over 3 days of discovering this area of Narvik while staying at a bnb apartment. Our departure train to Stockholm was cancelled without any warning and we were so glad to be able to find somewhere to stay that was easy to find and also had the bus stop outside for the airport express. Thank you.

In a quiet location a short way out of the centre (if walking, note a quite steep hill). Dramatic views from the lounge / breakfast room, also from my room. Friendly staff. Luggage storage until later in the day on departure. I had a single room, comfortable. Relaxing breakfast, buffet with a good selection. Comfortable small lounge, with tea/coffee, which I used in the evening. This is a guest house, don’t expect hotel facilities, but what it has it does very well. Definitely recommend.

The apartment is polished like a hotel but with all ameneties like a home. You can self check-in and check-out. The top floor where the apartment is located offers an amazing view of the city of Narvik. We could park the car just in front of the house for free. Very conveniently placed closed to the city center.
