The breakfast was the largest and best free breakfast we have ever had at a hotel! The historic side of the hotel was fantastic for a coffee/tea break and meals. We had a very large (two-bedroom) suite in the newer wing of the hotel. It included a kitchen where we baked a supermarket pizza one evening. The balcony had a beautiful view looking down the fjord.

The Hardangerfjord Hotel provided the perfect base for a relaxing and unforgettable stay in Norway fjords. Our comfortable room, complete with a balcony overlooking the fjord, was the ideal setting for unwinding after exploring the area. The hotel's convenient location near a beautiful beach and numerous attractions made it easy to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the region. We were also pleased with the friendly staff and delicious breakfast, which set a great tone for our visit. Quite unexpectedly nice place. Quiet surroundings and a big parking lot. Breakfast was superb. What I was amazed about was that the host gave me a free room upgrade as there were almost no guests. And another thing, I asked the host about where to have the dinner, and he fixed it for me in 10 minutes. I mean he made it by himself, and it was simple, but amazingly delicious!

I had a great stay. So peaceful, in connection with the fjords at all times seeing them through the window, and everything I needed right there: a perfectly equipped kitchen, a beautiful dining room, a place to swim and relax, a beautiful trail around the corner, a supermarket, a kayak (and assistance) from the hosts... They were the most genuine, caring people, it was so nice to stay with them. Highly recommend to stay here!! Ideally for multiple days so you can really unwind, slow down, soak in the beauty...

Amazing location amazing cabin amazing facilities amazing scenery amazing host. It will take some beating. Hike up the hill in the snow but pack light or ski in from the slopes. You won't be disappointed. It's amazing.

Lovely apartment in main building, nicely decorated, clean and with a wonderful terrace overviewing the harbour. Windows are very well isolating so no disturbance at all from the hotel's pub, which closes around 10 PM. Practical: fridge in the room and a professional Nespresso coffee machine. Lovely garden.
