The receptionist was very helpful and kind. Breakfast buffet had good variety, also there was a microwave that one can use at any time (we didn't find any restaurant open at the time, so it was great to have option to heat up some food from a supermarket). Very spacious and clean room.

Big basement area comfortable and the view is great from the living area. Would go there again maybe for a longer period! Separated from the owners who are living above. They are nice and only there if we need them. Big bathroom with washing machine.

A nice, quiet village with a salmon fishing ladder (great to check out). There wasn't much else to do. When we were there, they were doing roadworks, so there was no through traffic. This also made it difficult to reach the hotel. Eventually, we were able to drive along the sidewalk (with our motorcycle) and reach the hotel.

I had a single room in the "new" building, behind the original hotel building, that was a very nice and quite new room, with a nice and clean badroom, fridge, small desk and a 1 person bed. The basefloor of the orginal building looked renovated completly and the restaurant and breakfast where very nice. Looking out of the windows over the harbour and fjord during dinner and breakfast was very nice.

The hotel is next to the fast ferry so it is really easy to get here from Stavanger. Monika was very responsive to our messages, and arranged a taxi for us so we could start our ski tour. The hotel is simple and clean and comfortable. The self-service breakfast was excellent and we had everything that we wanted. Sand is a beautiful place, and our room had a lovely view of the fjord.

If you want to feel like you are at home rather than at a hotel after just a short but very beautiful drive from Sand village center - then this is the place for you. The room is small but you are welcome into the host's big house so full of character, charm, kindness and enough facilities for a wonderful short stay....

Perfect location for this hotel, close to the sea and marina. Sand is a small place and everything is near by. Visit the salmon area for salmon jumping in July. Very good breakfast and nice friendly staff, good beds and clean room Free parking.
