Breakfast was super good. Very good coffee, bread, salmon and meat, and home made jams. The location is great in case you also have an activity booked with Trolltunga Active. The meetings happen the day before your activity inside this hotel so that is very convenient. You can also walk over a bridge and along the lake. The views are stunning. You can walk from the hotel into town but it's a little hilly. We booked a triple room which was very spacious and this one had his own private bathroom which was super spacious as well. We booked a double room with sharing bathroom and that was a good option as well. In the morning, it was only a 20 min drive up to Parking A nearby Trolltunga Active store and starting point for the Overnight Trolltunga hike.

This place is perfect. The guy that runs it is an actual living legend. He helped me push my heavy motorbike about to park it which was a faff. When we got in, heating was on, he hung up my motorbike gloves for me I hadnt even noticed. He offered me SOCKS! Theres little toothbrushes; you're not even limited to 2 towels. So many places would charge extra for using the shower- not this guy: he is so unbelievably hospitable. I felt so comfortable and welcome in this space. He is super chatty and has a lot of interesting things to say. He is just so nice and positive about life. He even asked his biker friend about cool routes for me to go on, one of which I did go on and it was amazing. Gave me tonnes of recommendations for when I'm here and when I come back in summer time. He has a lot of local knowledge and has experienced most of the things to do himself. I think this is my fave place I have ever stayed. So much character in the apartment. Mixed with many generations of things and the owner will tell you stories about them. I played the record player, sat by the fire, sat and looked at the mountains, wandered around and looked at the collections of old stuff and just ENJOYED the space. The bathroom is also excellent and the water pressure is so good. There is also a balcony to sit on. It was so relaxing. This place was so good I stayed an extra night. Absolutely stay here and chat to the owner. Next time I am around Odda I will remember this place and pray it is available.
