AustraliaWhat a stand out. The farmhouse was built in the early part of last century and has lost none of its charm desipite the modern conveniences. The bedroom was large, beautifully presented, and the bed made us melt away. Warm and cosy for the night.
Our host was charming and drew the guests together in the most amazing breakfast. This must NOT be missed. Home produce and local delicacies, with good converstaion from the four nationalities present.
A return visit would be a must if we can get back to Norway...

AustraliaThe location was just out of Stranda but was very peaceful. We loved looking out the windows over the Fjord. Simon welcomed us with an Australian flag flying as we were from Australia and also a bottle of Australian wine and some Norwegian chocolate. We enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate. The place had great cooking facilities.

EgyptThe owner Berit was so kind and helpful. The property has amazing and breathtaking views through the dinning room and the outdoor seating area. We enjoyed watching the Northern Lights for 2 consecutive nights from the comfort of the terrace. Driving to and from Stranda is less than 10 minutes. The property is nicely decorated, shiny clean, very neat and perfectly equipped. We would like to stay there again any time we visit Stranda in the future.

GermanyIn every review there should be something positive and something negative. So, let’s get the negative out of the way first: the only thing we found unpleasant in this house was, that we only stayed for one night!
Now the positive(s !!): Friendliness of the hostess 11 out of 10. Facilities and standard of the house excellent!!! Everything is freshly renovated and the standard is way… way above average, putting it modestly.
To put this review in perspective we stayed in several 4 & 5 star hotels during our road trip throughout Norway, this is better - 5-star superior in our opinion! You can park the car figuratively in the front door! Only 1 meter!
The highlight is the newly build, spacious terrace with a view which is so fabulous that it makes you forget time. One thing you should bring with you for this terrace is a sturdy supply of wine, red or white is up to you ;-)
Fazit: We enjoyed our stopover tremendously!!!

When you are visiting Geiranger, you need to reach Stranda...
When you are visiting Geiranger, you need to reach Stranda through a ferry and the times for the ferry are not good. They have a ferry once a hour in the evenings and you will end up wait for an hour sometimes when you miss the previous one

We were upgraded to a different accommodation - Stranda Fjellgrend - as our original choice turned out to be unavailable. We were informed about the change weeks ahead of our arrival and everything went smoothly. The new accomodation was a beautifully located, cozy and comfortable cabin. There was a fully equipped kitchen annexe with a full dining table and a big living room with a fireplace. We could also enjoy our morning coffee with a view of the mountains, thanks to a table outside.

Amazing clean property, just 5 minutes drive or 10-15 minutes walk to the harbour/town center. We had no issues with parking and it was right next to the apartment. Stranda is a small but nice place to base yourself while travelling to say Geirangerfjord or Trollstigen

Lovely hotel with soap provided in the room, pool are was lovely and clean although we didn't use it if we'd of had more time would have. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. Will definitely be staying again

Superb welcome, friendly host, she gave us excellent advices, and the hotel resembles a beautiful farm, all impeccably clean. The bedding is very comfortable.
