Rajesh and the entire staff were amazing! They are helpful and do their best to ensure guests are comfortable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and we had hot water for our showers. The location is incredible! We walked everywhere. The views of Durbar Square from the rooftop are spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

“Amazing, amazing, amazing… I stayed at Hotel Yechu, enjoyed delicious food, and everyone had a great time there. The hotel is built in Newari cultural style, with architecture. What I loved the most was the garden — so beautiful, filled with flowers. I did meditation in that peaceful garden. The whole experience felt truly wonderful.”

Both the hotel itself and the communal areas were amazing! We learnt a lot about Newari architecture and culture at the hotel museum. The hotel itself is like a real museum! There was also a wonderful cat that we fed cheese to. Just 100 meters away is a pine hill with a stunning views and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva at the top. From the hotel, we visited the Botanical Garden and Phulchowki Hill. To reach the Botanical Garden, you have to walk along the village road for about 45 minutes and then take a small taxi for 20 minutes along the main road. The staff in the bar and the manager Asim at reception were very friendly and helpful!

I have been to Nepal several times but it was my first time at Thagu Chhen. It has exceeding my expectations and provides an excellent value.
