An awesome town with everything you need. Really loved the 4 square there. Can't wait to return again. You must go to The New Orleans Hotel for a meal I had the Kiwi Roast Meal which I highly recommend. 👍💯💯
Interesting history, along with a well set out museum and re-created Chinese gold mining huts. Many heritage buildings, beautiful river and walks, great cycling, views, shopping, restaurants, etc etc. Not far from Queenstown, Arrowtown would be my first choice of the two to stay in.
lovely wee town in a beautiful area but its just to expensive for the average kiwi . The main streel wilst lovely is only geared to tourists with no normal shops at all . The chop shop for brekkie is worth a visit as well as the fork n tap for a beersie
Beautiful part of New Zealand. Would of loved to stay longer and maybe hired a bike or walked more of the trails. Great free all day parking while you explore Arrowtown. We had a fantastic lunch at The Chop Shop and one of the best cheese scones at The Gibbston Valley Cheesery.
Picturesque, tranquil, relaxing... Just out of Queenstown but still close enough Beautiful loop track by the river,.. Make sure you have a good walk through the Main Street as some little gems. Remarkable sweets is amazing, see if you can find the little blue door, definately worth popping in for a drink. Had a great steak and a feww drinks at New Orleans,.. Great service Would also highly recommend Onsens Hot Pools... Massage is the best I have ever had!!!!
Arrowtown was beautiful, friendly, happy people everywhere. It was fully booked accomodation the whole time and you can see why, gorgeous! We will be going again, no complaints. Lots to see, lots of different scenic walks and drives. 10 mins drive to Queenstown, which was also busy, glad we were in Arrowtown. We also travelled to Glenorchy. The drive was so beautiful, we stopped off along the lakeside to take photos which I had not known was going to be so wonderful. I would recommend this whole trip, if you live in NZ and haven't seen our Southern Lakes, gotta do it!

Situated diagonally opposite the old heritage miners cottages in the central Avenue, the units are set in the most picturesque surroundings. They are spotlessly clean, well appointed, very comfortable and overseen by the delightful and very helpful Brenda!
