Well situated in the Dunedin City Center district of Dunedin, The Chamberson Hotel is located a 4-minute walk from Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, 1.3 miles from Otago Museum and 1.3 miles from Forsyth... Tastefully renovated old building in a good location for art galleries and cafes. Comfortable room and excellent service.
Distinction Dunedin Hotel has been elegantly refurbished to reflect the rich heritage of this 1930’s former post office. The level of comfort was very high indeed. Superbly appointed Maintained buildings charm. Staff made things happen without being invasive. Food excellent.
This 1920’s building, formally the Christian Brothers stately residence, retains much of its original grandeur, offering guests a true heritage experience with modern comforts. This hotel was such a delight. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There may not have been many people staying but I never heard anyone and while there is some road noise, I slept soundly, which is saying a lot after 5 different hotels in one week. I highly recommend!
Hotel St Clair is located just 10 minutes’ drive from central Dunedin. Rooms include flat-screen satellite TV, private bathroom with under-floor heating and views of St Clair Beach. Great service. Nothing a problem
Located in central Dunedin, Law Courts Hotel features an onsite restaurant, bar and gaming facilities. Guests enjoy free WiFi and free parking. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV. Hotel was downtown, within walking distance of everything/where I wanted to go/see. Nicely self contained; room, restaurant, bar. Staff was over the top, friendly and outgoing, and very attentive to any questions or needs that I had.
Centrally located in Dunedin, Victoria Hotel is a 5-minute walk to The Octagon and St. Paul’s Cathedral. It offers spacious studios and apartments with satellite TV and private balconies. The hotel is older but an excellent location to explore the older part of the city. The hotel has a few units with kitchenettes. They are spacious and well appointed. Conveniently located downtown the hotel is a good base to see the city, attend at the university for meetings and head off to the Otago Peninsula to see the sights. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. A Countdown was locate one block away. Parking is $10 per day if you have a car but that is reasonable and convenient. Staff were excellent and were aware of our return booking.

Great city, nice and compact so getting to appointments on time was never a problem. Good to see the older buildings around town and how Dunedin has held on to it's heritage. Traffic flow through the city is amazing not to mention how easy parking is. An abundance of dining options made making the final decision a little hard, too many choices, but a good problem.
It’s a really awesome place. Lots of places you can go like the Otago Peninsula to see the seals. Tour historic Larnach Castle. Take a ride in the train (Dunedin Railways) and also you can check out the Otago Museum for some historical things.
We only had a very brief overnight stay to attend graduation so there wasn’t time for sightseeing. We did enjoy a stroll up the Main Street & around the university campus for some photos. The Octagon provides an array of eating establishments to choose from.
A return to a place where I was a student 60 years ago, We had a wonderful occasion at Glenfalloch for a family celebration. We did have difficulty finding our way down the one way with the changes of names of the Castle Street along the way.
Lots to see and do. Watch out on the tricky street signs and which way the streets and roads run by the yellow pointer on the street signs names, a little corner piece painted. A great sight seeing place.
What a great town, just big enough without becoming a big city. It has a stunning setting. It has wonderful museums and galleries. It is a hub for the Otago region without being the tourist center Queenstown has become. We stayed for three weeks and never ran out of things to do in town or from town. The food is great. The Ales are cold. It is a great wine region. There are sports and educational centers. Don’t miss Dunedin.

The unit was spacious and clean, with kitchenette, living/dining area, and separate bedroom. The multiple heaters in each room were a huge plus given the cold spell we endured while in Dunedin. The free Netflix also came in handy as we were mostly rained in one afternoon. The motel is a short drive away from many restaurants in the city, and we found the location to be convenient yet quiet. The units could use some updates to make it more modern, but we were just here for 1 night and for the price, this motel is a great value.

I can’t say enough how great this place is. It’s like a 5 star hotel. It’s exceptionally clean and you can tell the owners take pride in ensuring everything down to the last detail. I was delighted when they offered me milk for my morning tea. The room had every single amenity I could ever need, it’s right by the university and a quick walk to shops & restaurants. Stay here if you can.

it might be a very old motel around 1912 it's beginning. the old photo at the park and in reception are great.it just oozed charm.its not flash but it's clean and comfy. a grand old lady with history so much more interesting.just hope it never gets pulled down for those all the same boxes they class as hotel rooms.

This fantastic boutique hotel has a wonderful location overlooking the beach and hot water pool. It is about a 10-15min drive to the center of town. Check in and out, were simple and quick affairs by very efficient staff members. A nice touch was the fruit bowl in our room - thank you!!!

Villa was perfect for 4! Greatest price-quality we had in our month in New Zealand (really cheap in comparison with motels or hotels, that maybe did not even had the same utilities etc). Enough space for everyone, location also not too far from the city etc.

Lovely staff. I travel quite a bit for work and this is my first choice in Dunedin. Parking is free and easily accessible and the location is perfect. There's also an elevator which you don't necessarily have in many smaller hotels.
