Glentanner Park is a holiday park and activity center offering affordable accommodations and panoramic views of Aoraki Mount Cook and Mount Cook National Park. For the location (not many accommodations were available in the area), we were not sure what to expect. Unfortunately we were checking in very late as well, but I was so glad to find a clean and spacious facility with parking right next to my room. The staff had left enough details for us to check-in late which was nice.
Located near Lake Tekapo in the Canterbury region, Mount Cook Station Huts provides accommodations with free WiFi. Guests can also relax in the garden. Such a fantastic stay. Amazing view. Beautiful and cozy huts. Every single spot was super clean. Our host was lovely. This place is a dream in the mountains!

The drive to Mt Cook Station along the lake with views of snow mountains is hard to beat. Mt Cook Station itself is fabulous - Great friendly host who ensured warm house before we checked in, star lit sky views from the property, well equipped kitchen, nice place to chill...They have got Central heating and electric blankets for you to manage the cold.

Set in Mount Cook National Park, a range of accommodations including motel rooms, lodge rooms and shared rooms are on offer at Mt Cook Lodge and Motel. We really enjoyed our stay, staff service is excellent, the chalet is clean, strong water pressure, shower is great! Although the facilities are bit dated but still good for our needs, will def stay again next time :)
Located by Lake Pukaki on a hilltop, Pukaki Lakeside Getaway NZ features panoramic views of Mt Cook and the surrounding farmlands. It is a 30-minute drive from Lake Tekapo and offers free WiFi. Fantastic views, quiet location, well equipped kitchen, Sky TV. Well situated between Twizel & Mt Cook.
The views were fabulous! It was very nice being close to the lake as well. Amenities were perfect for us. Very clean and tidy, kitchen has everything you need. Parking right outside the cabin. A cosy warm nights sleep. We travelled into the village for food and coffee, as we wanted to spend time down there. If we were there longer we would have tried the cafe at Glentanner. The kids loved it, and so did the big kids.
room was booked last minute on my way to see Mt. Cook. Amazing views of the lake, the mountain, and the stars, there is not much light pollution and the stars were amazing. Only complaint is that my dorm mate (Did not know him) was very inconsiderate to the others in the dorm.
If you are wanting tranquility, the helicopters taking off and landing make it noisy at times. However, we really appreciated the fact that they provided cutlery and crockery for us to borrow, as we had none. Friendly, helpful staff.
We stayed at the Glentanner Park Centre. It was a great location with fantastic views of the mountains and lake. The self-catering facilities were fairly basic and the accommodation compact. It's a good location for activities such as hiking, boating or even a helicopter trip round the mountains if you can afford it.
We only stayed 1 night which wasn't enough to do justice to this area in general. You need a car to get around. The Mt Cook village 20 mins further along the road had a great Information Centre which was almost like a museum - would have liked to spend longer there. The cafe in the Hermitage there had the most brilliant views but we didn't have time to eat there. Needed more time in the area to do some of the mountain walks.
The room was very clean but basic housing. No frills at all. Shared bathroom was kept clean and stocked with necessities. There was no place convenient to eat dinner, only breakfast and lunch. Eat before you arrive.
