Featuring river views, The Windmill has accommodations with a balcony and an electric tea pot, around 3.8 miles from Kemp House and Stone Store. Beautiful rural setting, wonderful, congenial hosts who invited us to harvest fresh leafy greens and vegetables from their garden and gave us excellent tips for our Northland adventure.
Surrounded by 2 hectares of award-winning subtropical gardens, Wharepuke Subtropical Accommodations features a restaurant and an art gallery. The property is the best place we stayed in New Zealand. It was like staying in Tropical Garden with all the flowers, trees and birds. Tania is the best!
Just 10 minutes' walk from the Kerikeri River and set among gardens, the peaceful Colonial House Motel features free unlimited WiFi, Netflix and 50+ TV channels and a saltwater pool. The owners were so friendly....giving us a chilled glass of wine and homemade pastries were above and beyond! It was a lovely place to be!

Set in lush sub-tropical gardens, Kauri Park offers an outdoor pool and units with spa bath. The motel features an airport shuttle service, free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Jacqui greeted me with a smile, a glass of wine and milk for my morning tea. Andrew was gracious enough to assist me with my luggage. Jacqui was helpful in pointing out closings on Good Friday and helping me to find places to eat.

This town is something very special. It's Maori and pakeha history, shops, orchards, shops, and cafes as well as the accessibility to Pahia and Russell and Waitangi. Everything was only a short distance from Kerikeri. I can see why it is becoming the next retirement capital of NZ, and there is every likelihood of us returning. The people here are very warm and welcoming, and there is a lot to see and do.
Lots of little quirky, arty shops. Nice cafes, all the main shops, banks you would need when travelling very laid back, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant to stroll around, historical features, nice harbour, a great stop off spot. The Stone Store and Maori village also have some lovely grounds to wander around.
We only had a day in Keri Keri, we did the rainbow falls walk, went to the weekend markets at the packhouse, the chocolate factory & went to Paihia. We had a lovely time and weren't rushed for the few activities we chose.
Stone store and garden tour great. Loved the choc factory and cafe. Lovely lunch at Marsden Estate. Waterfall walks really good especially the new secret one to the twin waterfalls. Rock Salt good for a quick bite.
A great location to not feel as a tourist. Felt at home, town was welcoming and accessible. Lunch at the Pear Tree, visit to historic buildings. Rainbow Falls! Hiking trails. Madsen Winery. Great Vibe. Matauri Bay Drive!
We went to Kerikeri on a very wet weekend. The farmers market was good, lovely bread and cheap vegetables but not as full as normal we were told due to the weather. We also did the fairy falls walk from the falls back to the stone store. That was very pretty and a good track with gravel on it so not slippery even in wet weather. The parrot place was also great to go with kids... and adults, better than we thought, lots of birds to see and aviaries to interact with them in. The mission house is not far away also and very interesting if you are keen on NZ history.

We stayed in a little cottage in a citrus orchard. It was away from the main lodge and very quiet and private. Everything we needed for a self-catering stay was provided, and the bed was the most comfortable one we slept in for some time. There was a bowl of delicious citrus fruit when we arrived, and chocolate and a good wishes note for my husband who was competing in the Kerikeri half marathon. The only downside was the weather, but that was beyond anyone's control. I'd definitely stay here again.

Relaxed, scenic, immaculately presented and clean with a kitchen that had all the utensils you could need. It was lovely to be provided with breakfast provisions on arrival (we stayed three nights). Only 2 minutes drive from Kerikeri and 20 mins from Paihia we were glad we stayed in Kerikeri as a base - there are many excellent cafes, wineries and restaurants around Kerikeri and our host was very friendly, made excellent recommendations and was able to help booking activities etc.

My mum and I stayed here for a weekend. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. Set in beautiful tropical gardens. Would love to come here in summer. There was plenty of heating, electric blankets on all the beds and extra blankets which made our winter break very cosy. Close to everything Kerikeri has to offer.

The grounds were simply amazing, especially being able to check-in early after a 14hr flight. Staying there felt like being in the jungle which is why I booked with Avalon Resort. It was so calming, private and and location is spot on.
