DELIGHTFUL. We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the larger upstairs room and loved it. A romantic and convenient place to overnight in Picton.

We loved the bespoke shops and the friendly people who staffed them. We loved the whole buzzy vibe and the good walk around and have a look type shopping that is completely opposite to mall shopping (which I hate). Love, love, love that they don’t have fast food outlets in the town. The food was epic (we went to Sisu for lunch and The Oxley for dinner). Both were wonderful. Our accommodation (Picton Waterfront Apartments) was super comfortable, well located and so user friendly, as well as being really good value for money).

Picton is picturesque, one of my favourite places I have ever traveled to. I visited in winter and arrived off the Ferry during a day long downpour and even with the lashing rain and fog the scenery was magical. The journey in on the ferry was breathtaking. The following day the sun was splitting the sky and it gave opportunity to truly appreciate just how beautiful this place is. The people I encountered in Picton were friendly and very helpful.

Loved the Edwin Fox Museum - a must see, especially if you only have a short stay as we did. Sadly it was rainy, off season and a weekend when we visited, so boat tours of the sound weren't an option - there is always next time! We are Christians, so Sunday was well spent at Holy Trinity Anglican Church - well worth a visit also - very welcoming, a great message and a great rainbow on our walk to church.

I’ve always loved Picton but like a lot of the world things have closed down and everyone’s pulled their horns in and on a budget , so everywhere it’s a bit quieter than it used to be Picton but still a lovely place to visit. I’m still some good places to eat.

Enjoyed a lovely walk around Picton and along the coastline.
Enjoyed a lovely walk around Picton and along the coastline. Did a fabulous half day morning boat trip cruising around Charlotte Sound which was great, and ate dinner at the Oxley Hotel, also very good.
This is a very small hotel (only 3 rooms) which only adds to its charm. Its location in the centre of Picton is an additional benefit as it is only a couple of minutes' walk from shops and nearby facilities. The old world style of decor ,the large rooms which are spotless and supremely comfortable has to be experienced. The restaurant is closed for evening meals , but the welcome touch of a wine and cheese plate is a unique touch. Breakfast is offered and sets you up for the day ahead.
I would love to stay here again.
Great accommodation and facilities. Beautiful view of the Picton Harbour.
Distance to restaurants and other dining very close walk.
Pricing for accommodation more than appropriate for the quality of the Hotel and staff.
Will definitely be staying there again in future.
The view was Exceptional. It really lived up to the name of Harbour View Motel. The lady at reception was superhelpful and gave good recomendations of where to go to eat. If we need to stay in Picton again we will be returning to this motel.
I liked the kindness and friendliness if the owners, the hotel was so close to the ferry, 5 minutes around the corner and Picton is so pretty, very comfortable apartments
