Set overlooking Picton Harbor, Beachcomber Inn Picton offers an outdoor pool, free parking and free WiFi. It is 2625 feet from Picton Ferry Terminal and 1312 feet from the Picton Train Station. Nice location, close to the port and town centre. Staff was friendly and room was comfortable.
Nestled in the heart of Picton, on the High Street, Piwaka Lodge offers refurbished rooms with access to free parking and free WiFi. Very friendly reception and made up feel very much at home. Tastefully furnished room and lodge. Service was superb with lots of extras thrown in ~ free soup in the evening and cheesecake after dinner. We were treated more like a house guest rather than a lodge guest. Overall an amazing stay.
Located in Picton, 18 miles from Blenheim, Picton Luxury Waterfront Quay Apartment has a terrace and free WiFi. Owner met us at the agreed time and explained parking and security arrangements. Apartment spotlessly clean and everything we needed....except extra toilet tissue!
Located in Picton in the Marlborough Region, 15 mi from Blenheim, Top of the Town features a barbecue and views of the sea. Certain rooms include a seating area where you can relax. Great clean place. Very impressed and if we go back to picton we will stay there again.

Lovely little small town that has grown a lot sine I visited 7 years ago. Excellent activities in the area both water and land based. Easy drive to Blenheim area and vineyards. Will visit again soon I hope.
Picton is a very picturesque harbor town bustling with ferry activity. It does get overrun when a cruise ship comes in however. There isn’t much to the town, but there are wonderful walking tracks and the Edwin Fix Maritime Museum is great. There is also an aquarium, but we didn’t make it there.
Don’t stay in Picton, just go for the ferry. People there seem to hate travelers/foreigners. We were at a bar with 4 in our group and 2 other separate travelers from another country. Staff only spoke to their own friends drinking at the bar, then told us they were closing. A few minutes after we left we saw their friends walk back in. That sums up the vibe of the whole town.
Great small town close to the harbor (interisland ferries), Marlborough wine region, Queen Charlotte track and lots of other activities. Several small shops with great values. Enough restaurants with good quality/value and always felt safe walking around town, even late in the evenings. Good central location between Blenheim and Nelson.
Picton has two marvelous museums. The ship Edwin Fox is a world class exhibit of the 5 or 6 careers of the one the oldest extant wooden ships. The local museum has an unusually large for a small town collection of memorabilia, pictures, and memoirs recording the history of the town. We were there for the ferry but had two nice meals at the Irish Pub and Cockles (nice raw bar).
Very pleasant location. Beautiful scenery. The Queen Charlotte Sound is beautiful. Many enjoyable walks available in the town, as well as excursions to Queen Charlotte Sound. Many vineyards near by. .

The hotel was in a really convenient location in Picton.....you could walk to anything in less than 10 minutes. The owners are new and are trying their best to spruce up the hotel which is taking a good deal of their time. They are a lovely couple who go out of their way to make you feel right at home. Everything in the hotel is spotless and squeaky clean. They also had a nice choice of breakfast items for you to start your day, We stayed here twice, once as we came on to the South Island and once as we were to leave it.

Escape to Picton, is a lovely boutique hotel experience. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the lovely Elizabeth, who upon arrival showed us our amazing suite complete with petit fours and a glass of NZ wine. Our suite the “honeymoon” suite was gorgeous, the attention to detail and comfort was 5*. King bed with luxury linens, lounge and balcony with views of the sound and marina and then there is the tub! You must eat downstairs! The food is delicious!

The views are spectacular. The restaurant was our choice for dinner and a great choice it was. Excellent service, great food. The room and bathroom were spacious. And as they say, they are very close to everything. Unlike the motels on the main drag and High Street, the Beachcomber is very quiet and only half a block further into town. We did walk our way back, with our large rolling bags, to the train station—very doable.

The unit was very clean, and well-appointed. Bathroom had a heat lamp in it which was really nice. Shower was spacious. Kitchenette was well stocked, and included heaps of appliances! The microwave was a thoughtful inclusion. Umbrellas were provided for guests (which came in handy). Receptionist was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. We will certainly be back!

Very convenient location to everything - maybe a 5 minute walk to town. The hotel sits high above the town and you get a nice view, however it's not a steep walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable room, hot shower, kitchen area to cook. We left early so we missed the scones which was a bummer. Good location from the ferry. A short walk to the bus station. Picton is a really cute town.

Wonderful place to stay in lovely Picton. Ten minutes walk to the waterfront and a shopping mall opposite. The owners were the nicest people we met in New Zealand and that's saying something!

Of course, breakfast. Very tasty and huge portions, really huge. You could expect such breakfast in very posh hotels. The bed and room was comfy. Owners were friendly and helpful.

We loved everything about our stay. Our family visited Waikawa Bay for the first time for a wedding. We had 4 cabins and each cabin was clean and immaculate and certainly exceeded our expectations. It catered to our large group, our kids absolutely loved the park, pool and kangaroo jumper. Such a beautiful and central place to stay. Comfortable beds and such lovely staff!
