Tauranga is a badly laid out provincial New Zealand city which is getting harder and harder to get around. It has been a sea of road works for the last 10 years. I only go there when I have to which thankfully is not often.

Tauranga is great for shopping, picking up a few bargains...

Tauranga is great for shopping, picking up a few bargains and eating out. We enjoyed a few lovely meals on the Strand and recommend this area for dining. Additionally, as a coeliac, I found that a lot of restaurants were well versed in providing gluten free dishes or were able to alter regular dishes to suit.

Tauranga is slowly becoming a more and more attractive City;...

Tauranga is slowly becoming a more and more attractive City; the beaches are stunning and the city has built more and more shopping malls compart to 10 years ago when we left Tauranga. The city has everything you need and more there is night live, there are great Restaurants everywhere in the city, our favorites are Chicken Fryday in Devenport Road and Cafe Istanbul in Cherrywood. Good value for high-quality food.

It was our first time in Tauranaga and we are glad we did...

It was our first time in Tauranaga and we are glad we did this trip. I had the privilege of having a round of Golf at the 'Mount Mauganui Golf Course' It was a delight to share the opportunity with a couple of local players, who became great friends by the rend of the round. For the wife's interest in Shopping, we spent time at the 'Bayfair Shopping Centre' and the 'Tauranga Crossing Shopping Centre'. We also had a lovely morning at the Beachfront - of Tauranga Downtown City Centre, with a little market with a good range of goods.

A very comfortable neat and tidy home ideally located with a bunch of treasured friends. Well stocked kitchen in terms of utensils and crockery. Very user friendly. Thanks to Jessica for the bottle of milk in the fridge which was so handy. The location was at a very close distance to a new place of worship 'Lakshmi Narasimhan Temple' on Chadwick Road which was an added advantage to us . The Mithai shop next to the temple is a bonus. We drove to the Main Beach and the well paved sea shore for a morning walk A lovely meal at our always favorite 'Easy go Thai' and another at Sugo was awesome. Don't ever miss the Cauliflower pizza at Sugo.

Tauranga CBD has been Ruined by excessive building of too...

Tauranga CBD has been Ruined by excessive building of too high and bulky commercial office spaces, not people friendly at all! The roading muck up sees no parking outside many businesses too. Not a lot to do there either.

I loved how cheap it was . I loved the staff . I loved the room as was a nice big room . I hated that I got their friday left Sunday and the toilet paper didnt get checked or renewed all weekend then I had a shower its on a timer that is hard to figure out and on a timer goes freezing cold at 3 to 5min and showers full of black mold shower curtains full of black mould .

I loved the rooms size - I got a cheap room on the first night which was absolutely fine - quiet, comphy, enjoyed a cocktail on the deck at the bar with amazing music - a highlight. Then had a delish burger for room service. I normally stay at the Mount but for the same cost Trinity Wharf was better and I was only a short drive to get my beach fix at the Mount.
