This is a gem of a place with lovely clean rooms and great staff. They have a BBQ in the garden which is lovely with a table and chairs. The rooms are spacious and each unit has an outdoor space. Added bonus right near the ocean and has fabulous sunsets.

We ate at Food for Thought in main street, they are closed Sundays, but if that's not a problem the food & good service are worth it. Bought fish & chips at the Blue Fish'Chip shop. Quick service & lovely food. Walks are good along water front. Shopping is good. Friendliness very good.

Thames is a lovely place to visit, we were there for work so didn't get to have a good look around but will return. We ate at Grastronomics, and OMG it was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Thames township, especially Grahamstown, is steeped in...

Thames township, especially Grahamstown, is steeped in history with lovely old buildings. We were there on a saturday morning and enjoyed a great breakfast in the Grahamstown Coffee Shack then walked the length of the shops where there were heaps of market stalls laid out. There are some lovely old shops and covered verandahs all the way along. Some quirky things and some hidden treasures

Went to visit family rather than site seeing but the Firth...

Went to visit family rather than site seeing but the Firth of Thames itself is stunning as is the coastal road heading north . Excellent meal at the Thai restaurant and opposite at the cafe The Melbourne.

We loved it.

We loved it. The grandkids loved the playground by the mall area. We had a great time at the Goldmine experience and fully recommend this as they were very informative and something different to see. Everything was close by with ample parking which made it easier to get around. Wea made our meals although meal delivery is possible. The ocean is also close. Would love to come back to Thames at some point

Thames sure has improved since we were last time several...

Thames sure has improved since we were last time several years ago with regard to the town centre. Some great shops. Good Pak n Save supermarket. Waterfront is attractive and trip up the coast to Coromandel is fantastic - gorgeous NZ scenery

Lovely location with a stream out the back (too cold for us to enjoy sitting out there though!) and was quiet, just out of town centre. Clean comfortable and warm. Decor was a little out-dated, but we had everything we needed for an overnighter. Host was lovely. Decent little motel/ motor inn, as described. Also must mention Eretas tapas and tacos restaurant in Thames, excellent.)

Fantastic - 3 brm house, next to a stream and with glimpses of the Firth of Thames from the house, and about a 100m walk to the actual beach and amazing views. Really comfortable bed, full kitchen, great shower, good wifi, and blissfully quiet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was cozy, and definitely felt at home. The place was nice and private and so peaceful, with a good view of Kuranui Bay. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice weekend visit to Thames.
