The room we booked was very claustafobic, as the Only widow was a skylight window located about 3 meters above our heads in the ceiling. There was only one chair in the room ,whilst it was clearly a double room. The bed was not an option to use as a seat as we had to jump to get on it , the top of the matras was around 700 mm from the ground. The t.v was not connected to an Arial or dish, it was only usable to screen multie media.e.gYou tube. However the bathroom facilities where A.1 The breakfast which was priced at,$ 10.00 ea,was good value for money and very extensive.

Covid has affected open times and experiences for a LOT of options. Check before you go or plan to eat! We loved the Wellington Museum …but te papa seems to have deteriorated in the experience Very let down by the Zealand in experience. Should’ve gone to the zoo!
We were able to get to town on the bus which was very regular. We went to the Opera house to a show. To Kathrine Mansfields house. Te papa always great. Also got the train to Waterloo to visit family. Knowing what bus to get to the Villa is a plus for next time.
Many great things to do and public transport seems really great. Te Papa was very cool. Would’ve loved to see more and have a bit more time there as the shopping looked great too. Unfortunately I found the city to be filthy dirty, every single window and building was so grimy and disgusting. Bars, restaurants and bathrooms were all pretty grubby too. Found customer service to be below average on the whole. Was ordering a drink and the girl behind the bar was literally lying on the coffee machine. Super unprofessional.
I was a solo female traveler and felt completely safe walking the streets after dark to find a restaurant. My accommodation was fantastic at Wellesley Boutique Hotel and very centrally located. Getting around was easy as it was all pretty flat. I had a delicious Vietnamese meal at a little restaurant tucked down a side street, Go Vietnam.
Wellington
This hotel/hostel is old and still has art deco decoration around. The young woman at the front desk in the evening was really nice. The room was clean with comfortable bed. The pub/bar downstairs is really nice as well. Very VERY convenient, (right across the street) to Intercity and Skip bus stop inside train station and to Interwater ferry shuttle (platform 9 in train station). Huge kitchen and living room area. Lots of folks staying here, so it's a big space. Lots of tables and couches.
I only stayed for a night with my family. Our room was clean with street view. Staff was very helpful during booking and on arrival when we had trouble with parking. Grabbing food from the restaurant was super helpful with 2 tired little ones on board. Didn’t have time to explore the city but location is very handy, found parking on the street safe enough to leave our fully loaded car. Likes that the restaurant was on the street front. Would recommend this hotel for families visiting Wellington.
Wellington
Perfect place for families to stay when in Wellington. You are right in centre of CBD with Cuba St at the entrance. You are within walking distance to all the major attraction around city centre. It is great value for money. Very spacious, and we'll appointed apartments. You will need to arrange parking prior to arrival. I recommend parking at Wilson parking Lombard (P851) located at 28 Bond St. Ph: 04 4716193, $30/day multiple entry. It's less than 100 metres away.
We liked the fact that we could walk from our plane to our hotel room and that we had loads of choices of transport in and out of the Wellington City centre, Our room exceeded our expectations with a large bed, large settee, and large bathroom, and more amazing the room was completely soundproof. Evening Dining offered where Bar Meals or the Alacarte Menu and we found dining in was more pleasant than going out on the town.
Location was perfect - central to everything going on in town. Amazing views. Older Hotel with dated appearance but had all the essentials for a reasonable price. We were offered $10 off a full breakfast so $29 down to $19 however there were cheaper breakfast of the same quality in town so breakfast at the Hotel was quite expensive in comparison
Wellington
It reminded me of some of the places I stayed in Europe. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient and close to public transportation. The rates are reasonable for the city, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of city.
Great location in the heart of the city. The rooms have been beautifully designed and are very comfortable and quiet. It was a lovely surprise finding complimentary croissants and orange juice at the door of the room in the morning. Next time I visit Wellington I will definitely stay at The Intrepid Hotel again!
Location is great. Rooms are really basic (functional), but clean enough. Bit noisy being in the city, and an older designed hotel, but convenience makes up for that. Plenty of eateries nearby, and you can usually score free parking (on the street) at night, and using a coupon ($12 per day) during the day.
We stayed in the suite at the top of the hotel. Everything was great. Super spacious, clean and comfortable. Great location close to city but lovely and quiet. We’d definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone wanting somewhere special to stay in Wellington.
It is close to Wellington port and city center for travelers. The breakfast was great. The reception opened 24/7. Bed was ok all what you need for one night stay. Did not have chance to check any more about hotel as on our way up north.
Wellington
Wellington and a lot thanks to the Glamor Hotel in the city center. Cleanliness, washing machine, fitted kitchen, comfortable bed. And efficient and friendly front desk service. Book places and you'll be hired
Rooms were spacious and bed were comfortable, plus staff were very accomodating and responsive to our needs. Also, the hotel was centrally located in the CBD area of the City.
Good location, central to Wellington CBD, easy walk to the harbour and Te Papa Museum. Nice city view from our room. Plenty of cafes and restaurants surrounding.
This is a good central hotel. The rooms are spacious. It is near shops in a pretty quiet area of Wellington not far from buses and the airport. It is clean too.
The front desk reception is very friendly. I feel welcomed. Rishab introduced this hotel is newly furbished and recommended us to try the newly completed room. He is very patient to take us to see the room. Though in the end we decide to stay with our original room, he still respected our decision and showed his patience and smile.
Loved everything. One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in New Zealand. The room was huge and comfy bed, the balcony was also very big! Lived the bath tub too. I have nothing to say it was awesome.
The staff was very accommodating, very friendly and the facilities were great. A plant based menu was available in the restaurant. I would stay there again.
Very well appointed and provisioned and in an excellent location.
Perfect for a night in the city...location . Service...excellent
Great location, friendly and helpful staff
