Everything was good I feel that the hotel could be a bit tired but the staff and cleanliness were very good. A great location made walking to places very good. It was very unfortunate that the road at the front entrance to the hotel was closed off.

I visit Wellington on a regular basis - there's endless things to do and I can only fit in so much but it's wonderful, this time was spent going to gigs within walking distance, viewed the new playspace installation at CapitalE - Topsy Turvy - an awesome place for little'ns. Had some yummy food in Cuba Street.

We love everything about Wellington, obviously traffic can be hectic but it’s overall a lovely place. We visited the zoo, cable car lane, go karts and also some site seeing at mount Victoria which was beautiful. We met lovely people. We enjoyed our trip a lot.

Wellington, still a good city.
Wellington, still a good city. Heaps of place there to eat, drink & meet new friends. But even when living in a big city, there is still time to put money aside & save for better fortunes. There are greater things in life to achieve than luxuries. And so embarrassing to watch the Hurricanes lose on their home ground but the love & the support are always there for them. Hope they get to the finals next season. Shoutout to all the construction workers out there, they're the ones making Wellington a better place for everyone.

Sorry, I don't enjoy cities so I'll pass on this one. But for the record. We are not a young couple. At 76 & 83 years plus we are both disabled. Any activity is a distant memory. Tip, don't assume! : )

Travel vehicles were accessible.
Travel vehicles were accessible. Food venues were accessible and service was great. I had dinner at a Chinese restaurant and the service was positive as hosts made all customers welcomed and support in sharing information about meals were explained clearly.
Wellington is easy to get around due to public or private taxi availability.
I have stayed at the hotel before. The number and quality of artworks provide a significant 'point of difference' for my husband and me when selecting somewhere to stay in Wellington. We love the gallery ambience - the array of contemporary New Zealand art is deeply pleasurable - a feeling that one never tires of! There are delights around every corner. We hope that this never changes. We are prepared to pay for the pleasure! We will be recommending the hotel to all of our friends who also love art and culture.
Two very comfy double beds in the decent sized room. Pillow menu available !
Decent sized shower with plenty of hot water and a nice high pressure.
Room was warm
Could hear some traffic noise but have had worse at other hotels in Wellington.
Central city location was brilliant.
Thunderbird Cafe directly across the road from the hotel entrance do great brunches & coffee.
We had an amazing view over the Wellington Harbour, and the location of the hotel was fantastic for walking to the city centre, Te Papa, etc. The rooms were clean, and spacious. The children enjoyed the buffet breakfast, and the staff were friendly & helpful, but it would have been great if they had changed the rooms to accomodate our request.
We liked that the room was fully self-contained and clean, with nothing chipped, worn or threadbare. The central location offered a great starting point to explore Wellington City. Check-in and check-out was seamless and late check-out was greatly appreciated.
The room was excellent and well maintained. The hotel also has a restaurant that provides a splendid breakfast service. Overall, I had a fantastic time in the city, and Oaks Wellington was a great contributor to that.
