Akwaba lodge is located at the middle of Isla Solarte about a 10 minute boat ride ($10/person) from Bocas del Toro. It is on a hill overlooking the water and Isla Bastimentos Breakfast is included in your stay. Lunch dinner and beverages are available at a very reasonable price. The lodge is an eco style lodge surrounded by jungle. Though there are no hiking trails through the jungle you are serenaded by the sounds of birds. Kayaks, SUP and snorkeling equipment is available for your use. Your host and their children are wonderful and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and wonderful experience. Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

Great lodge, very clean, spacious and well equipped. Owners Pierre and Manou along with the rest of their staff are very friendly and always read to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Breakfasts and dinners are very good and offered in a beautiful restaurant with an amazing view over the property and island. All attractions are within short boat ride from the lodge.

Pure Roots is a magical place! You are in the jungle and see all kinds of birds and wildlife, but you still have all of your comforts, like a nice bed, a beautiful relaxing space with a deck and hammock, a clean bathroom and hot shower. Jen cooks amazing dishes and always has the coffee on when you arrive for breakfast. She accommodates your dietary needs and the food includes lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. You can even watch her machete a fresh coconut for you to drink from, to get an electrolyte boost! I stayed for 5 nights.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eclypse de Mar. The bungalow was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The view from the room was absolutely beautiful. We loved the direct access to the water and used the complimentary kayaks and paddleboards it was a great way to explore the surroundings.
