The staff is so friendly and welcoming, the manageress is superb. Location central, beautiful, different shades of blue water with pink flowers everyware. For a small cost you can visit their sister resort with arguably the best view of mount Otemanu. I think this is a must stop in Bora Bora. Parasailing and boat excursions few meters away as well as small shop and other restaurants close by. Probably one of the few resorts on the main island that you won't need a car, however Avis car and scooter rental a few meters down the road. Oh and Matira Beach is walking distance away. BORA BORA HOLIDAY'S LODGE, ROYAL BORA BORA, and Village Temanuata got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Bora Bora.
Bora Bora exceeded our expectations, it’s hard to describe it with just a few words. It’s a magical place with pristine waters. It was a trip we will all remember forever. My 6 year old swam with dozens of black tip sharks, my husband and I swam over 50 Eagle rays, multitude of fish, corals. The food is amazing, the locals are very welcoming. It’s definitely a bucket list trip!
I traveled with my son so we only stayed a couple of days. When booking air conditioning is a must and make sure if not the windows have screens. We got bit up the first night at another hotel and they had huge wasps in the rooms. Plus it was really hot as the air conditioner was only in the bedroom and didn't cool the rest of the room, apartment. Street dogs are everywhere but all we came across were friendly but hungry. We didnt rent a car as taxis were available. Keep in mind taxis only get payment via cash. Snorkeling was top notch.
Stayed at 2 locations. One good budget and ideal for most traveler’s. 2nd was an OWB at IHG. First impression was that Bora Bora was not attractive or friendly as other islands. After a day we settled in and realised it was laid back, had a great vibe, food and accommodation was good. Local People extremely friendly. We have had an amazing time. Swam with Sharks, All sorts of fish, stingrays. Opened coconuts and drank cocktails
The people were very nice and accommodating and helpful. The views were beautiful. We went on the lagoonarium excursion and it was wonderful. It was sad that there were quite a few hotels that were just abandoned and no longer being used.
Even rooms were not updated (you can see the aged interiors, the absence of the thermostat, and the inadequate lighting in the bathrooms so you can see your face detailed). Affordability, the charm of the local architecture, and the crew's appeal with the authentic atmosphere make you feel welcomed.
Small Island, easy to explore via tour, taxi or rental scooter/car. Don’t miss some local excursions to learn about the people and their heritage. This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever travelled. I actually didn’t want to leave.
