Offering a unique island paradise experience, Sofitel Marara Beach Resort features private bungalows built over stunning blue waters or set on the white sand beach. Guests enjoy a bar and a... We liked being on the main island of Bora Bora and not at the resorts that require a water taxi/shuttle to get to the main island. We rented scooters and were able to explore the entire island. While we ate dinner at the Sofitel, we were also able to shop at the Chin Lee store for snacks. The property is very close to the famous Matira beach with the local fav of "snack julie" food stand.
Overlooking the magnificent turquoise waters of a private beach, the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora features luxurious over-water bungalows and beachfront villas with views of Mount Otemanu. Excellent Resort. You are treated like royalty. Best location and views in Bora Bora. An absolute paradise which is ran extremely well by a professional and guest focused staff.
Featuring a private white sand beach which is exclusive to guests, this luxury resort offers beachfront accommodations on Matira Point. Guests can stay in unique bungalows positioned over the water. Staying in an overwater bungalow was a wonderful experience. The service was top notch surrounded by the tropical environment made this holiday one to remember.
Located on an unspoiled tropical beach with no road access, Le Méridien offers views across Bora Bora Lagoon to Mount Otemanu. The view from the beach and our bungalow was amazing. The over water bungalows themselves were great. They were simultaneously cozy, airy, sleek, and homey. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast, which was included in our room rate, was fairly extensive and a nice bonus. The water activities/rentals were a great resource. The shallow, clear water of the inner lagoon was gorgeous and pleasantly warm. The ease of pick-up and scheduling for excursions were also very nice.
Exclusively located in a private cove on Motu To’opua, Conrad Bora Bora Nui enjoys vast blue ocean views and a white sand beach. The service was perfect and the staff was so nice and welcoming. We loved our welcome tour with Melissa. The food was good. The facilities and spa where awesome. We loved snorkeling around our over the water villa, paddeling and swimming at the pool.
Featuring a garden, a shared lounge, and a private beach area, Bora Bora Beach House has accommodations in Bora Bora with free WiFi and sea views. Location is excellent = at the tip of the famous Matira Beach. The water access in front of the house is a bit rocky, but once in the water, it's fantastic = white sandy bottom. Lounge chairs by the crystal clear, blue water were wonderful to watch the sunset from. The house is very clean and has a modern, well-equipped kitchen. Furnishings, including the bedding were comfortable and of high-quality. Easy walk to nearby restaurants and a little grocery store. We have stayed at 4 different properties in Bora Bora over the years, and this house was by far the best.
Located in Bora Bora, Lokai house has a garden, terrace and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy garden views. We loved everything. The owners are amazing and super friendly. We went to bora bora for our honeymoon and they offered us some little gifts and champagne on our arrival!! They gave us great advices and offered us to book for us if we need any excursions. It was really easy to exchange with them before and during our stay The house was spotless and really easy to access from the city. The neighbourhood is quite and the appartement well decorated. Everything you need is in the appartement. Supermarket is super close (5mn scooter ride) 10mn from the beach matira 5 Bloody Mary. Merci encore pour ce séjour :)

The lagoon is amazing. We were able to snorkel with a school of spotted sting rays, manta rays as well as gorgeous fish. We also went jet skiing which was thrilling and gorgeous seeing all the shades of blue in the lagoon. Vaitape is also a vibrant city with great Tahitian life, restaurants and fantastic stores. Don't leave Bora Bora without your Black pearls.
Great small tropical island with a reef that surrounds it which leads to calm shallow seas, lots of fish, rays, and sharks to explore. Certain areas of the island are hot spots where you can swim with the black tips, lemon sharks, and rays. The waters are super clear and very blue! Be prepared for expensive meals and drinks but visit the local markets to save lots of money on bread, beer, soda, wine, chips, etc. Our hotel had breakfast included and we snacked during the afternoon and had meals out to enjoy local cuisine!
Marvelous beaches with gorgeous views of the mountain. The two jewls of Bora Bora are the turquoise blue water and the green mountain. You can rent a bike and do a solo excursion on the nice asphalted highway. Drivers and pedestrians know how to share the roads on this island. The people seem happy and the native fruits are quite organic. I enjoyed papaya and star fruits. The supermarket there has fresh bread everyday. If you want a fancy but not expensive sushi Matira Restaurant is the place. Also their Pina Coladas are great! I had everything I needed to make my trip to Bora Bora unforgettable. I am coming back for more in the near future. I was impressed with Bora Bora and I learned that the Five Archipelagos have many more islands as beautiful as Bora Bora. I am hooked on French Polynesia and desire to explore other islands in the near future with my Sweetheart. Bora Bora is definitely a Romantic and enchanting island.
Bora Bora is a truly special place to share with your loved ones. The water is the most beautiful crystal clear blue and the snorkeling is out of this world. The mountain is breathtaking and a view you will not tire of. The locals are so friendly and the best tour guides you will ever have. Bora Bora also has a turtle rescue center which offers the opportunity to help heal the turtles and set them back into the ocean. An amazing place!
It is gorgeous, but not worth the effort and expense to get here. If you are an avid snorkeler and love marine life, I suppose you should visit, but there is no other reason to visit with beautiful beaches throughout the Caribbean, Southern Europe, Africa, Japan, and Australia that are much easier to get to and offer so much more. This is a place better suited for senior travelers and perhaps newly weds who wouldn’t leave their rooms for more than a quick cool off in the lagoon. Even then there are better places. It is underwhelming overall.
Lagoon water has the most stunning blue/jade/turquoise colour !! Best ever !! Wouldn't recommend swimming in waters around Intercontinental Thalasso as the water doesn't mix much there and I have developed a terrible skin rash. Everywhere else around the lagoon water is clear and beautiful. Bora Bora's people are lovely and super friendly and welcoming. It's a Paradise !! And the sweet scent of flowers.. AMAZING !!!!

W@onderful!! Annette picked us at the wharf and then really looked after us. Our "dining room" was over the water, loved the room with wonderful sea views and really enjoyed Naike the dog and Bogart the cats company. She helped us organise a car for viewing with my 91 year old Mum and made lots of other suggestions. I will definitely return. Thanks so much for your hospitality.

Sunset Hill Lodge was a perfect stay for our trip to Bora Bora. We rented the family studio and it was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and it was clean. Our place had a private shower and kitchen. The owner is very kind and gracious who will help you with ANY excursions and reservations while on the island. I highly recommend staying at Sunset Hill Lodge.

Because the apartment is situated on a hillside it has an amazing view of the lagoon and across to Taha’a. It also has a clothes washer and clothesline in a laundry room in the unit which was nice to freshen up our clothes after a long vacation.
