Le Maitai Polynesia is in the south of Bora Bora on Matira Point Beach. Guests have a choice between rooms with garden or lagoon views, and bungalows with direct beach access or over the water. Great property! I was a little hesitant after reading some reviews but decided to take a chance, and I am so happy I did. Some reviews mentioned the hotel being outdated, other than not having WiFi in the room I found the hotel to be quite modern. It did force us to disconnect from the world for a time and remind us it why we are on vacation! WiFi worked well in the lobby for checking emails, etc but not for downloading photos. I booked a room with ocean view which was spacious and offered a spectacular view of the ocean! The room was super clean and efficient. Refrigerator was a plus as other reviews stated. Bed was ver comfortable. Beach is small but perfectly adequate for this hotel- it was not crowded. We often had the beach to ourselves. We were able to snorkel at this beach - truly spectacular. We had a couple of meals at the beach restaurant. Very reasonable prices for Bora-Bora but only average food. We did find a little local restaurant about 2 minutes from the hotel on the left hand side when you leave the hotel, which has a delicious curry chicken dish for 12.00 dollars - the food was much better(and cheaper) than at either hotel restaurant. The hotel staff was extremely helpful - they assisted with booking local tours. They always greeted us with a smile. I’ve been in the Travel industry for over 30 years and have traveled the globe dating in all types of accommodations. I would rate this hotel a 4 star without hesitation!
Exclusively located in a private cove on Motu To’opua, Conrad Bora Bora Nui enjoys vast blue ocean views and a white sand beach. Our overwater bungalow looked exactly as it did in the pictures - it was huge, modern, spotless and overall, just stunning! Davin was super helpful during check-in and we enjoyed exploring the beautiful property and jumping into the water. Dinner at the French restaurant was tasty and the pina colada at the pool really was the best I've ever had. It was our first time to Bora Bora and we split or time between Conrad and another resort to experience another motu/island views. While the other resort was nice, our preference is definitely the Conrad :)
On Motu Piti Aau and featuring an exclusive private beach, this 5-star resort and day spa offers private villas located over the water. Each has a large shaded terrace with stunning views of Bora... The staff were remarkably friendly and welcoming from the beginning of my stay to the end. They made an effort to learn my name and I got to know some of theirs. I was there for a birthday and many wished me a Happy Birthday. They even left a birthday cake in my room. The setting is incredibly beautiful with great views of the lagoon and Mt. Otemanu. The Thalasso Spa is world-class with its relaxing atmosphere and treatments tailored to individual needs. Many water activities are available for those who want to be active. The restaurants serve delicious food with local accents and the drinks at the bar are unique and memorable. I highly recommend the InterContinental Bora Bora and hope I can visit again.

Bora Bora is a beautiful location with pristine beaches and turquoise waters. Many visitors choose to stay in resorts with over water bungalows These are beautiful but my recommendation would be to get out and explore the island - maybe on a bike or a kayak as there is so much more to Bora Bora
Words arent enough to describe bora bora, its a true paradise, its a beautiful place, if not, the most beautiful place on earth, locals are super friendly, the resorts offer the best service possible, so many fun activities, and the food is amazing. I highly recommend anyone to come visit bora bora if you ever get a chance. Me and my wife came for our first anniversary and wow what an anniversary it was, the trip of a life time. We loved everything, if you want to know more, give it a shot and try it for yourself, it is well worth the trip. We might have left, but a piece of our hearts stayed in bora bora.
It is at very busy place with huge tourist industry and lots of dust and noise in and around Vaitape, but lagoon tours are professional and seem to guarantee all usual attractions expected by the tourists. I would not recommend staying longer than a few days though.
I did not like Bora Bora itself. You should not stay in the main village or in houses with no beaches. You need a car to go to the beach everyday, supermarket, restaurants and to hire tour program. It is impossible to walk or ride a bicycle in the island. The roads are very tiny and no space for pedestrian. It is dangerous. All beaches are private, except Matira Beach, No beach access from the road. We had to pay UDS 180 to 250 per persons for boat, dive or jet sky program in order to visit the private Island and enjoys the turquoise blue water as it is shown in pictures. Bora Bora really reflect what shown in the pictures from above if you are in a boat or helicopter. If you go to Borabora you will know two beaches: the beach of your hotel and Matira beach. If you want to know more you have to shell out a lot of money.
Overall the hotel was truly amazing! The views and turtles are what sold us. Hotel is slightly older, but the rooms are perfect for the views/seeing the water below you. The food was very well prepared. The staff was truly amazing. The beach boys are what made our trip. Jay was so friendly and from the island. They catered to us to make sure you had fun in regards to the water sports and towel service and any other help needed. Heiarii, Matteo, and Thierry also made the trip so enjoyable. Anne K made my birthday dinner amazing! Overall if you want a nice hotel with amazing views and great service, then the Meridien is your hotel. The package we received was the room/ breakfast/ dinner, which was totally worth every penny. Truly a great stay, and highly recommend. Maybe because its slightly cheaper then other hotels on island, there were quite a few children at the resort. We were not on a honey moon so didn't matter to us.
Excellent place in every aspect: closeness of everything, kind stuff, spacious bungalow with all you would need for catering, private beach... The next best thing to a resort :-), but for a fraction of resort's price.
Loved the super friendly staff and the breakfast, as well as the very reasonable price for bike rental
Everything is beautiful there! The only word that comes to mind its PARADISE.
