I made a late evening reservation due to a last minute...

I made a late evening reservation due to a last minute change in my travel plans after arriving at the Tahiti airport. I needed an overnight stay and was lucky I found such a good accommodation for which the host Wilfred made even better as we discussed visiting nearby Moorea island and the two ferry options to get there (select the white boat 😊). He showed me around the outdoor lounge and kitchen area adjacent to the pool. The area has a great view of the sky and ocean since the LODGE sits atop hills. The personal touches are things one would not receive at a standard hotel. I’d definitely recommend the LODGE to others.

A short taxi ride from downturns and the airport but our hosts made all our bookings and shops and a market were a 10 minute walk down the hill. It can be a little hot walking in Tahiti. Traffic chaotic if you come from a quiet location.

Very hard to locate the actual apartment as there are no signs and the name appears to be wrong. Lucky for us to find a lovely generous occupant who helped us into our studio apartment. Fair walk to the shops due to the property being so high up the hill but the views from our balcony was fabulous. The swimming pool was a very big plus.

When we arrived from the States, we took a taxi to Pepeete...

When we arrived from the States, we took a taxi to Pepeete for proximity to the ferry terminal (we were headed to Moorea next day). Flying back from another island in FP a few weeks later, we stayed in Faaa since we would be flying back to the States the next day. Now we know, we'd stay in Faaa on both ends and taxi to the ferry terminal if we were planning to go to Moorea next.

Faaa itself is OK.

Faaa itself is OK. It's the Royal room in the hills tgat was problematic.The room is not really as described. Seems it's run by someone else than the owner, possibly absentee house owner. Many people come and go from the Royal. One group came for a visit and occupied the terrace. They were polite and quiet but smoked, so no joining for us. The house cleaness is questionable and it appears there is more lodgers than the one the who sleep in the loft. Living room dingy with curtains closed and sofa. Underfurnished. The bedding feels cheap and polyester-like. Parking is a total headache on a narrow ledge. Finally someone came to move own car but with another motorcycle in the small place that was hardly useful. Dog poo was there, easy to step in. It's close to airport but there are nicer places to stay than here. Valley location was nice. Otherwise do not recommend this place. As to airport facility, it was easy to park a car at longterm to jump to another island for 2 days.

I spent one night in this hotel room and was very satisfied. The room was simple, but completely sufficient for a short stay. It was clean and functional, with everything you need for a one-night stay – a comfortable bed, a clean shower, and free Wi-Fi. The best part was its proximity to the airport, which made the transfer the next morning very convenient. For the price and location, this hotel offers excellent value for money. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a short stay near the airport!

Perfect located for an airport stopover in Faaa or a stay in Papeete. The hosts were superb collecting us from the airport, buying us pastries and dropping us off at the airport. Nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation has everything you need for self-catering with a supermarket just a 5 min walk away. And the place was absolutely spotless! The rooms are the best I have experienced in Tahiti and the owners are incredibly helpful. This was especially so as Air Tahiti decided to go on strike and Tahia was happy to run us back and forth to the airport to rearrange our flights. Do not even consider staying anywhere else near the airport.

Excellent location near airport for early flight. Maeve dropped us off at 0430 for small fee. Then came and got us again as flight was cancelled. She was super helpful and friendly. The apartment is large and clean as were shared areas with complimentary tea and coffee.
