Set within Taytay Bay in the North-eastern Palawan, Apulit Island Resort is privately located along the beachfront. Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff was so hospitable and accommodating. The food was unbelievable every day. The resort itself was built with relaxation and comfort in mind. There were also many activities available every day that were included at no extra cost, including snorkeling, rock climbing, and cruises! The location was what blew us away -- the snorkeling, beaches, and clear waters made this the perfect get away place.
Flower Island Resort has Restaurant, garden, a bar and shared lounge in Casian. Among the various facilities of this property are barbecue facilities and a terrace. Where to start? We could not have had a more amazing stay at Flower Island. The staff were phenomenal - so helpful and friendly. We were there with our two kids (2 & 8), and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that they were happy and having fun. Plus, the chef was always willing to pinch hit some scrambled eggs or some other dish tailored for my picky toddler. The location is ideal, the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful - turquoise water with healthy, gorgeous reefs, ideal for snorkelling, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding... Plus, the food delicious, the room was perfectly sufficient, and the massage therapists skilful. What more could you ask for? Also, don't miss the pearl farm excursion - it's a must-do.
Located in Taytay, Casa Rosa Inn and Restaurant has Restaurant, garden and free WiFi. The property has airport transportation, while a car rental service is also available. Had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, food was great and the view out to the Spanish fort and ocean excellent. The room was large, comfy bed, mozzie net and ceiling fan. The gardens were beautiful and surrounded each bungalow making them completely private. We wished we had booked another day to do an island tour with them. Taytay has the fort and church which are interesting and well worth a look as well as a nearby waterfall. Well worth a stop here.

More could have been done in terms of visitor education of local environmental issues. Optionals related to this theme were grossly under-developed. Just to mention to 3 examples: 1. While the output, input, and usage figures for electricity, waste and water were stated, it would be of interest to the environmentally sustainable agenda to explain how (for example) waste is treated, including sewerage treatment and discharge. It was not. 2. Again for those interested in sustainability, it would be important to show guests (optional tours) where and how local supplies for food (or resort construction) are grown and transported, minimising the carbon footprint of imported food, particularly from overseas. It was interesting to me that vegetables and other products like honey are sourced locally, and organically produced. This would have been a very strong point in support of the environmental claims put forth for Apulit/El Nido Resorts'. 3. Almost everyone I spoke to who worked in Apulit (including the boat crew) were all from Palawan and this impressive fact that the El Nido Resorts support local livelihoods is totally absent from any information given out about sustainability. Pity!

The Apulit island itself is very picturesque. As you are limited to a full board option only we were worried that the food would not be good but it turned out to be fine. There a lot of interesting animals and birds on the island and snorkeling a diving is top notch. We had a Water Cottage room and you could go swimming in the sea straight from your room at high tide. This was cool !
