This place perfect for our group. We had originally booked another accommodation which was not to our liking, but thankfully Playa Azul was only walking distance from this and had been what everyone in our group was looking for. The rooms were spacious with balconies and breakfast was included each morning. We greatly enjoyed the use of the pool and the sea was just 5 steps away from the entrance. This place was also walking distance to numerous bars and restaurants and there would also be street vendors every night where we were able to eat authentic Filipino street foods and bbq. Overall, the rooms, locations and staff were great and couldn't have asked for a better place for our group.

Our room was very clean and spacious. We could see a liitle bit of the ocean. We liked to have a water dispenser directly in front of our room on the third level. The location was perfect as it's a 2 minutes walk to the Nalu Surf Camp where we rented our surf boards. They made us pancakes for breakfast. We liked the location and our room and extended for a fourth night. For our departure they organised tricycle and breakfast before 5 o clock, which was great.

Awesome Location, right next to Baler Centre Terminal (extremely convinient for those arriving by Bus or Van from Cabanatuan Bus Terminal) and about 200 metres from Genesis Bus Terminal (good for those arriving by Genesis Joyride or Genesis Regular). Right next to Baler Public market that sells everything you can imagine. We had freshly cut Buko water there everyday for 25 Pesos. (45-50 Pesos in Manila) Right in front across the road is NOVO 24 hour Supermarket shop that sells everything from liquor to biscuits, chips, chocolates etc....literally everything except fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, About 100 metres away is Robinsons Easymart. Sabang Beach and Baler Beach are within walkable distance, about 1.5 km to 2 km. We took tricycle once, as it was raining that cost us only 50 Pesos one-way. Room has WIFI, AC, TV with plenry of cable TV channels, including English movie channels. Hot water is HOT in bathroom. Toilet roll and toiletries including dental kit was provided. Slippers were provided too. Receptionists and Staff were very welcoming and provided assistance with all queries. Breakfast was served hot that included Omlette/ Smoked Fish with Fried Rice and Salad. Coffee too. They let us use their fridge to keep our beers/drinks and let us use their smart TV to sing Karaoke too. Would love to come back and stay again.

The owners were honourably LOVELY in every way possible, never hesitated to call me "Sir Patrick" like I was a knighted by the royal family, bloody beautiful tiles, good grout, free shampoo, soap, interior decorating of the room reminded me of being in the ocean (big gud), and they offered surfing lesson from their related family which ended up being ALSO BIG GUD. In other words methinks Hamada many guds. Das my yap 😎🐋

Had a short but amazing stay. Everyone was so kind. They placed us at the ground floor even though we were supposed to be at a higher level, and we really appreciated it because it made resting so much easier. Safe location, accessible to the beach, very close to 711. Definitely staying here when we go back to Baler!

My favourite places were the beach (spectacular sunrises) and the river. There are plenty places to eat - from fast-food chains, to a really good eatery situated next to the 7-Eleven, which served food until after midnight. They offered a different menu every day. It's easy to get around Baler, either by walking, or the tricycles, or you can rent scooters. The people speak excellent English, are helpful, and very friendly.

Baler has beautiful beaches, scenery and friendly and helpful locals. Our tourist registered tricycle driver Raymond was excellent taking us to the local spots and giving us the history and background. It's a quiet provincial town and has a nice space of life compared to the busier cities in the Philippines, no malls, cinemas, less traffic streets etc. so created a very relaxing break. We will visit again.

We hired someone to ride with us and took us to some of the spots of Baler. We went off Diguisit Rock formation and Baler hanging bridge. Sabang beach is a must visit when you are in Baler. It offers you a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean, and Sierra Madre Mountain range. I learned this is where the surfing craze started in the Philippines way back in the 1970’s. This is an excerpt from Jun from Baguio city.

There were no waves at all (I assumed that 2 weeks before the official season opening, we might gave small swell....I was wrong) The stay was too long because there were no waves, nothing much to do in the area beside the beach and waves (I mean there are stuff to do but not for 5 days without waves)

Staff 10/10 (Jen Jen and Ms Vi Anne) Owner (Ms Karen) was kind enough to arrange the most convenient accomodation for my family. We were with a 7 month old baby, and i requested rooms which are right beside each other so i can easily call on my husband when i need him. We also extended another night, bec of an unfortunate event (my son got sick and couldnt drive back to Manila). Thankfully, our rooms were still available for us. Location of Akkaw Baler is a few steps away to the beach. 👍🏻

This might be the best place to stay in Baler! The building is new, the room is stylish and comfortable! I stayed in the ground floor room with a patio and swimming pool and my friend stayed in the upper room with the balcony and amazing sea view.
