Staff were amazing; welcoming and so helpful. Comfortable beds and decent bathrooms too. Was able to leave my big kit bag whilst I went on two day trek with just my small bag and also let me use a shower when I returned before my bus. Food very good and cooked fresh fir each person. Staff also made me sandwiches to go for lunch on more than one day. Amazing place to stay in Danaue.

We loved everything, the hosts (Claire and Butch) were fantastic, we directly fell home, taken in charge, Butch also was our guide to visit around, go see tyhe terrasse, the hot spring and we had a great time together! The garden is absolutely lovely, the view from the small terasse is stunning, The room is very nice, with a lot of small details for the comfort of the guests, the breakfast was amazing, prepared with love by Claire, best ingredients ever, generally locally made... We absolutely loved our stay there and highly recommend it!

Irene and her team were the perfect welcoming staff team to an Inn… Especially after a 3 days trek and being exhausted. Joyful and generous people. The view is just spectacular- difficult to have a better experience than the Batad View Inn located above the green “Roman-theater-like” rice terraces and it’s village. Very intimate. The food was also very good and would recommend the rice cake for desert made by Irene :) Our room was a dream : two sided windows, palm trees, a whole view on the rice terraces and even more surprises. Thank you Irene for having us! I recommend 100%.

Great staff, great food, super clean, and THE VIEW CAN NOT BE TOPPED! We had a private double room with a balcony. So worth it. I was anxious about communal bathrooms, but they were very clean.
The Grandma owner ,staff and the tour guide was awesome .They staff helped us to carry out luggage almost at the upper part of the village which is such a great view of the place in the morning !The breakfast is delicious and the chef lady is nice and attentive to all what we needed ! Thank you !I highly recommend the place and definitely will come back more!
The view was spectacular. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Hike was very challenging for me and my wife. We only made it 1/16th of the way up. My three boys and my daughter-in-law were able to make to the to the top and to the water falls. My boys said they would come back again.
Awesome ! From the get-go, we were picked up from the bus station & was allowed to check-in early. The cottages are Ifugao huts and modernized for comfort. Plenty of room inside. The sight-seeing tour in the pm was wonderful. We also lighted a bonfire in the indoor fire pit at night. Very cool. The hike to the Batad View Deck, then down to Tapiyah Falls & back up another trail is a very strenous hike, but oh, so rewarding!!! The scenery was breath-taking! Walking thru 2000-year old rice paddies was an unforgetable experience! This tour takes the whole day including the drive to & from Batad. The hike to the Bogyah Hot Springs is an easy one. A soak in the hot sulfur water then a dip in the icy river was very therapeutic, specially after the Batad hike. *(save this for the last day, there is enought time to make it to the 5:30 pm bus back to Manila.). The staff also let us check out late. They were very helpful and courteous ! The tours run and personally catered by Elvis were fantastic! *(he also sings, of course 😊) I would definitely go back and stay longer!
If you get to Banaue you meant to go there, and are justly rewarded. The rice terraces are beautiful, and mak the drive in and out worth it. But really, it is a overnight stay and move on. Nice part - the city is not very touristy. Bad part - very few things to do after viewing rice terraces, and you’re 5 hours to nearest bigger city.
Banaue can give you a retreat, out of the noisy urban jungle and adventure. While there are common places where tourists converge, there are places like Hiwang where you can get away from the busy downtown and have a breathtaking view of Banaue, experience the weather and actually have a 'walk in the clouds.' Although these kinds of places are not for the fainthearted, security is in place. Just make sure you have a great driver and well-conditioned car. It is best to bring everything you need yet travel light. You want to stay in one place and reserve time for hiking and discovery.
You have to see the rice terraces to believe the sheer scale of them.We hiked to the Batad village from the road and on to the waterfall. Well worth the effort. Photographs don't do it full justice. The best meal we had on our trip was at the native village inn , superbly prepared food , good service, and what a great view from our table .
