Located in Banaue, 2.2 mi from Banaue Rice Terraces, Savta Homestay provides free WiFi. The property has a restaurant. Breakfast is available each morning, and includes American and vegan options. The owner and her nephew were super helpful during our just one night stay in Banaue. Communication was swift and clear. We were picked up from the tourist office on a tricycle and taken to the accommodation without additional charges. Being the only ones there at the time due to the low season we got to choose another room with a view instead at the same rate. Two tours to visit the terraces were arranged for us at a very agreeable price and the homecooked meals likewise. What really blew us away though was the hospitality when we were offered showers (after check out) before our long bus journey back to Manila and the fact that the nephew waited with us at the bus pickup for one and half hours to make sure we got on the bus. Prior to this, he had also made calls to verify the bus departure and he even chased a (wrong) bus with us partly out of the village by car. Even though the attention paid to us was probably affected by the occupancy rate at the time, I'm sure other guests visiting in peak season will have a fantastic stay regardless.
Set in the mountains of Banaue, Hiwang Native House Inn & Viewdeck features panoramic views of the Banaue Rice Terraces, an on-site restaurant, and an evening entertainment with bonfire. CRISTINA'S Main Village Inn and Restaurant offers accommodations in Batad. Guests can enjoy Israeli food such as pita and shakshouka at the on-site restaurant and visit an Ifugao house. The hospitality and the gorgeous view outside of your window. I can sit and just stare at the fields all day. The banana pancakes were soooooo good!

Joan and Mariano were excellent hosts. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will help you book a trek or tour that suits you. With garden views, Sagada Sunrise View Homestay | Sea of Clouds and Mountain Views is located in Sagada and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. Free WiFi is featured. "Sagada Sunrise View Homestay" has a very pleasant style and environment. Friendly staff - especially Kaloy from the Service Desk, very helpful. Great view - it's a few minutes away from down town, that makes it even more special. No noise, no nothing. Adaptable staff - with excursions and transportation. Fresh food - they don't cook it with hours or days before. So you may wait a bit longer than a regular restaurant, but it worth it! I'd definitely choose the place again for my next visit in Sagada, Philippines! Many thanks!
SAGADA Private Home∙Overlooking Pine Trees∙Mountain Views∙Sunrise is located in Sagada. This vacation home also has a restaurant.
Banaue is a good starting point to go to Batad, wich is more interesting in differents ways : fresh air (there's no road so no contamination), awesome view directly from the village and your homestay, waterfalls and hiking.
The best time to visit Banaue is during summer months ( March-June). But if you prefer a cloudy and cold ambiance you may visit during bermonths (September to December). Remember to book on time. Always respect other culture and do not litter anywhere. Hydrate yourself from time to time and for security and assistance help desk at tourism office could lend you a hands to guide and help you.
Road going there seems ro be narrow and a lttle bit dangerous. It is a magnificent tourist spot but the main route must be improved and buses must be able to reach the summit safely. Viewpoints need more parking areas must be improve and welcoming staff be posted. Put some donation boxes because tourists will not hesitate to donate some money for improvement purposes.
Not very pleasing to the eye upon entry. Nothing to do in the town really. There are walking trips to do that take you elsewhere but I think Banaue is merely a checkpoint on the way to Batad/Sagada.
Friendly people in this old world village. Pleasant walks all around, plenty of local guides who are knowledgeable. Good tourist information office. Just watch where you walk, lots of dogs and people chewing betel.
The trip was long but bearable. I can’t say that it’s super long because it depends where you’re coming from. The people here are so nice and accommodating. You’ll love the view! It feels like you’re one with nature here.

The garden settling is what I liked most. I stayed in hut #1 with a side window that looked directly out and down the mountainside. Each morning I could see the sun rise from my bed! The cool temperature-low humidity with no mosquitoes makes this an eco-tourist standout. Inhouse guides with transportation made it easy to arrange each days trek. I survived Batad (10k)! Meals are simple, healthy and affordable. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is spotless. We plan to return next year.

Good food. Splendid views. Not many tourists around since getting to Batad requires some effort (or: splashing several dollars for a tricycle). My favourite place to be on Luzon.
