Located in Sagada, SEE TOO VILLE - Nature Lodge features a terrace and a shared lounge. Every room includes a balcony. The rooms at the guest house are fitted with a seating area. The staff was very accommodating with our group and even the requests that we made regarding the food. They also have a nice fire pit outside where we had a small bonfire and roasted marshmallows. They also helped us facilitate a very early check out at 2am and we're generally pleasant people to be with.
You have to see the rice terraces to believe the sheer scale of them.We hiked to the Batad village from the road and on to the waterfall. Well worth the effort. Photographs don't do it full justice. The best meal we had on our trip was at the native village inn , superbly prepared food , good service, and what a great view from our table .
The long drive from Manila is worth all the trouble. Never miss the exciting trek in Batad amphitheater rice terraces all the way through Tappiya Falls. Though our sojourn was on a cloudy and windy new year's eve, the alluring waterfalls was inviting I couldn't resist to take a dip. It was not "that cold", after all. It's best to get a local guide who can give you brief talks about the place. Trekking would also be easier with an experienced local guiding and warning you which steps could be slippery.
Good starting point for several nice tours: Batad with the rice terraces and Tappiya falls, Ducligan with its rice terraces and hot spring and also Hapao with a very nice hot spring location for taking a bath.
Some people has this misconception that Banaue is in Baguio or maybe within Baguio. You can get here directly from Manila. Personally, i did not know that aside from Banaue Rice Terraces, there were alao other terraces that is worth visiting for! It was really a good experience exploring Banaue!
If you’re thinking Batad to be sort of like a chill and walk in the park kind of experience like Sagada, it’s not. It demands strength, patience and preparation because it is mostly meant to be hiked to generally enjoy what it offers and experience its gems firsthand, but I can assure, if you made it, it will be very worth it.
Mountain views. Gentle pace. Cool air. Rain and mist. Magnificent green terraces, and the tiny, bright red details that provide accents and catch the eyes. Try the coffee grown its farmers, and brewed in all the town's hotels and food stops. Support the sustenance of Ifugao Cultural Heritage by purchasing native rice, rice wine, carved and woven products sold in the shops and outlets.
Exceptionally nice hosts. They bend in 4 for you. The husband is a great guide, go there with your eyes closed. Possibility to eat on site: they cooked us a great adobo chicken and even taught us the recipe. Day in Batad with the husband great. They pick you up at the bus terminal. Basic comfort but the hosts are just perfect!
