Located in Santa Monica, a few steps from Alegria Beach, DaRosa Del Mar has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking, a bar and a shared lounge. Fantastic place and fantastic people. My wife and I decided to explore the island by scooter shortly after arriving in Siargao; we intended to only stay a couple of nights and then return to General Luna, but we ended up extending and staying at DaRosa Del Mar for the remainder of our vacation. The place is wonderful. The bungalows are fitted out to a very high quality, with comfy beds and spacious modern bathrooms. The grounds are beautiful with colourful flowers/orchids, coconut trees, and nice areas to relax. The beach is the best we found throughout our entire time in Siargao; lovely sand, and great for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking (available for guests to use). The restaurant serves a variety of delicious food, served by attentive and friendly staff, and is popular with Siargao residents who travel just for the great food and dining atmosphere, even if not staying at the resort. The resort is a great base for exploring Siargao island's attractions, including Sugba Lagoon, Magpopongko Rock Pools, and Pacifico Beach, which we visited on our rented scooter. Dave and Rose have created a wonderful place, and they are lovely people and great hosts. I understand that the resort took some damage from the typhoon that hit in December 2021 shortly after we left, which is very sad given all the hard work that Dave and Rose have put in to create the resort. However, I also understand that they intend to fix it all up and re-open as soon as possible, so I would highly recommend everyone explore the island (beyond General Luna), and spend some time at Dave and Rose's place.
Located in Santa Monica in the Siargao Island region with Alegria Beach nearby, Kaha Island Stay has accommodations with free private parking. This was such a nice, peaceful place to stay. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. We felt like we were living in a house.
Punta Punta Surf Retreat has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and garden in General Luna. We stayed in the Villa for 5d4n. The staff are very accommodating anything you ask them they are willing to help you out. The owner directly messages me asking if me and my friends enjoyed our stay. He was very kind to answer all our inquiries before we arrive in Siargao and even made suggestions on how to get to places. The Villa we stayed at was very spacious and comfortable. After a long day of touring the island, the picturesque view of the ocean and quiet surroundings or maybe a dip in their pool will get you ready for next day of site-seeing. Thank you to the owner, Ron, Ate Mae, Ate Cathy and Kuya Jesper who were very kind enough to help us out. The kitchen was very helpful since all you need are already there and it will also save you a lot of money. It is truly a bonus. The staff, the Villa and the place are perfect combination for a peaceful, relaxing and awesome vacation. Never stay in Siargao for less than a week ‘cause the place has so much to offer.
Located in Del Carmen in the Siargao Island region, Andreas Homestay provides accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. It feels very homey at Andreas. The staff and the owner are very friendly as well. The room was comfortable. If I may suggest, would be nice to have some hangers and a place to hang wet clothes. Will definitely stay here again!
I had so much fun during my entire stay at Barrel Spot, Pacifico. Customer Service was superb. Nik2 made all of her guests feel welcome and the place felt like home because of her. However, I had few minor problems in the area, poor signal and no internet connection. Nevertheless, San Isidro, specifically Pacifico, is the best place for people who wants to chill and relax from stress or depression. Pacifico is the place to be. I did not go out much unlike other travellers there. Though, I toured Siargao for a day and realized that I never wanted to be anywhere else in the Island but at Pacifico, San Isidro. Even though, I did not go out much but I honestly had a great time that my one week stay felt just like three (3) days. I never wanted to leave the island but I had to and when I got home I was already planning to go back, with my parents this time. I even met few unexpected people during my trip that I know I’ll forever treasure.
